From 28/05/2026, we will officially be reopening our doors for events and arena hire! We’ve truly missed seeing you all, but the safety and wellbeing of our horses had to come first.
We’re so happy to welcome everyone back, although there are a few important changes we ask all visitors to follow when visiting Downclose:
• Please use the sanitation stations provided (hand sanitiser and boot dips).
• Passport checks will be carried out — flu and tet vaccinations must be up to date (there will be checks so always bring your passport).
• Please remain either in the arena or on the horse boxes/trailers area — no lingering around the yard.
• Follow all signage, including restricted and no-entry areas.
As a community we really appreciate everyone’s understanding, patience, and continued support during this time.
