A little later than planned, but this beautiful styled photoshoot at The Shire Retreat deserves its moment! 🤍🐾

Back on 1st October, Dave joined an incredible team of suppliers and some absolutely beautiful models for a day full of wedding inspiration, gorgeous details and plenty of magic.

It’s taken me a little longer to share these photos than I’d planned. The very same evening, Otto had to be rushed to the vets, and everything else understandably took a back seat while we focused on him. ❤️

But I’m finally getting around to sharing some of the loveliness from the day, and I can’t wait for you to see it!

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making it such a special shoot. It was lovely to be part of such a talented team, and of course, Dave was more than happy to take centre stage! 🐶

🎆 Fireworks season is just around the corner, and now is the time to start preparing!

For some of our 4 pawed family members, fireworks can be really frightening. The sudden bangs and flashes can leave them feeling anxious and unsettled.

There are a few things you can do to help them feel safer:

🐾 Create a cosy, safe space where they can retreat.

🏡 Keep curtains closed and make their favourite spot comfortable.

❤️ Stick to familiar routines and offer reassurance when they need it.

🐶 Speak to your vet if your pet struggles with fireworks and you think they might need some extra support.

Every pet is different, so a little preparation now can make a difference when fireworks season arrives.

We talk about dogs a lot here at Snuggle Sitters, but our feline friends deserve some love too!

I'm pleased to be offering cat drop ins alongside our usual pet sitting services, giving your feline friends care and attention in the comfort of their own home while you're away.

Whether you're heading off on holiday, working away or visiting family for a few days, your cat can stay in their familiar surroundings with their own favourite sleeping spots and routine. 🐾

Our cat drop ins can include:

🐾 Feeding and fresh water

🐾 Litter tray care

🐾 Fuss, cuddles and playtime, entirely on their terms

🐾 Wellbeing checks

🐾 Photo updates so you can see how your feline friend is getting on

We can also offer optional extras for cats who enjoy a little extra enrichment.

Visits are arranged as two visits per day, one 15 minute visit and one 30 minute visit, with pricing based on the number of cats in your household.

I'm also taking enquiries for Christmas cat drop ins! Visits on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day will be morning visits only, subject to availability. Bank holiday rates apply on these dates.

There’s a real woman behind Snuggle Sitters. 🐾

And if you’ve ever wondered why I care so much about what I do, this is why.

For me, pet sitting has never been about simply feeding a dog, letting them out and heading home.

It’s about getting to know them.

Their little quirks.
Their favourite spots.
The things that make them nervous.
The way they greet you.
The things that make their tail wag.

It’s about making sure they feel safe, settled and loved while their humans are away.

And honestly, I think that’s why I care so much about getting it right.

I know what it feels like to leave your own dog with someone else. You want to know they’re happy. You want to know they’re safe. And you want someone who will notice if something isn’t quite right.

That’s the kind of care I want to give every one of my four pawed clients.

And then there’s the wedding side of Snuggle Sitters...

Because helping couples include their dogs in one of the biggest days of their lives is something I genuinely love. Seeing a dog walk down the aisle, watching their humans light up when they see them, and knowing I’ve helped make that moment happen is pretty special.

So yes, Snuggle Sitters is a business.

But it’s also something I’ve built around something I genuinely love.

The dogs. The people. The trust. The cuddles. The chaos. And all the little moments in between. ❤️

That’s the real woman behind Snuggle Sitters.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

There are worse ways to spend your working day than surrounded by dogs at weddings, right? 😂🐾

We get to be part of one of the biggest days of your life, make sure your 4 pawed bestie is included and give them all the love and care they deserve along the way.

We might get a little emotional, get ridiculously excited over the details and talk about dogs a bit too much.

But one thing is never up for debate. Your dog's comfort and happiness come first, even if that means changing the plan.

And if we happen to fall a little bit in love with your dog along the way? Well, that's just part of the job. ❤️
