Katie’s K9s is officially out of office ☀️✈️

Before another wonderfully busy summer begins, we’re taking a little time to rest, recharge and soak up some sunshine with our family in Greece 🇬🇷🤍

We’ll be back on Monday 8th June and cannot wait to welcome your gorgeous dogs back for more countryside adventures, garden zoomies, cuddles and holiday sleepovers 🐾

Any messages received whilst we are away may take a little longer than usual to respond to, but we will get back to everyone as soon as possible upon our return.

Thank you, as always, for keeping us so incredibly busy and for trusting us with your beautiful dogs. The love and support you show our little business never goes unnoticed and means more than you know ♥️

May highlights 🌿☀️🐾

A slightly earlier round up this month as our final guests have checked out and we’re now packing our bags ready for our annual summer holiday ✈️

May has finally brought some sunshine between the showers 🌤️ Our days have been full of long adventures through the Cheshire countryside, garden zoomies, endless toy exploring, cosy cuddly snoozes, and plenty of playtime with friends 🐶

We’ve loved welcoming back so many of our wonderful regulars this month, alongside a few gorgeous new faces who we are so happy to care for 🫶

As always, it’s been a privilege to care for your precious pups and give them a home from home full of love, fun, comfort, and personalised care ♥️🐾

HEATWAVE ☀️🐾

Summer has officially arrived and we’re set for a scorcher over the next week! 🥵

Please take extra care of your precious pooches in the heat. Early morning or late evening walks are safest, and on the hottest days it’s best to skip walks altogether.

Heatstroke can happen frighteningly fast and can sadly be fatal. Instead, keep those clever brains busy with enrichment games, sniffy activities, frozen treats, training sessions, and plenty of rest in the cool 😎

Heat affects every dog differently depending on their breed, age, size, coat type, fitness, and overall health. Some dogs may struggle at much lower temperatures than others so the image above is only a guide so please consider your own dog’s individual needs and tolerance to the heat.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone, stay safe, and give those pups an extra cuddle from us ☀️♥️

From tennis balls to tug toys and cuddly teddies, playtime is tailored to what each dog enjoys most. Some love chasing toys around the house, while others prefer proudly carrying their favourite toy.

✨Countryside adventures and peaceful strolls✨
Our walks are designed around each dog’s age, breed, fitness, confidence and exercise needs. Some dogs thrive on long walks exploring the Cheshire countryside, while others are happier with slower paced sniffs & strolls.

✨Rest & recharge✨
Rest is just as important as play, especially in a busy and exciting environment. Throughout the day we encourage plenty of downtime so everyone can relax and recharge in a calm and comfortable space.

✨Garden sniffs and play✨
Our secure garden provides the perfect space for sniffing, exploring, playing and relaxing in the fresh air. Some dogs love zooming around with friends, while others enjoy calmly pottering around investigating every smell.

✨Refuelling meal times✨
Meal times are carefully managed to ensure every dog feels comfortable and fulfilled, following each dog’s usual feeding routine to cater for individual dietary needs.

✨Enriching activities✨
Mental stimulation is an important part of keeping dogs happy & fulfilled. We include daily enrichment activities tailored to each dog’s needs and ability.

✨Snuggly sofa evenings✨
After a busy day, evenings are for winding down and curling up on the sofa for cuddles before a peaceful nights sleep.

✨ Newbie Alert ✨

A very warm welcome to the gorgeous Winston, who joined the gang for his first day 🐾💛

And what a lovely boy he is! Winston settled in brilliantly and spent his day exploring, making new friends, and making sure he tested out just about every toy in the toy box 🎾

He has already become a very loved member of the gang, and we are so excited to welcome him back for more adventures very soon 🌟

Sweet Fleur is back enjoying another holiday with us this week ♥️🐾

At 14 years old, Fleur’s needs are very different to some of our younger guests, and this week has been such a lovely reminder of how important personalised care is for every dog.

Fleur is almost completely blind and deaf, so she needs a little extra support navigating around the house and garden safely. Her walks nowadays are very short, slow and wonderfully sniffy, letting her explore the world at her own pace and enjoy all the familiar scents around her.

Although she may need a gentler routine, Fleur still absolutely loves her holidays here. She enjoys pottering around the garden, finding cosy spots to snooze and, most importantly, soaking up all the fusses she can get 🥰

One of the loveliest things to watch is how gentle the other dogs are with her. They happily wander alongside her in the garden, share quiet sniffy moments together and then snuggle down nearby for naps afterwards.

It’s such a privilege to care for dogs through every stage of their life and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved while they’re away from home ♥️🐾

There’s something so special about watching friendships blossom… and Rupert and Bruno have truly stolen our hearts 🧡🐾

After first meeting during a stay with us last year, they’ve now holidayed together several times and every visit their bond grows stronger. This weekend has been pure joy from start to finish watching their friendship in full swing 🫶

The second they saw each other again it was like no time had passed at all…I don’t think I’ve ever seen two dogs happier to reunite 🥹

Their energy matches perfectly and they play together so beautifully…endless games of chase, gentle play wrestling, stream swims, woodland adventures and approximately one million kisses 💋🐶

What we’ve loved most is how naturally balanced their play is. They both take turns, respect each others space and know when to pause for a recharge and a cuddle before diving back into the fun again.

Safe, consensual play is so important for dogs and it’s lovely to see two dogs communicate so calmly and respectfully with one another.

Moments like this are exactly why we keep our boarding numbers small and carefully match personalities and play styles wherever possible.

Creating a calm, happy and well-balanced environment means dogs can build genuine friendships, feel comfortable and completely relax into their holiday with us 🐾✨

Watching these two together has been one of those weekends that reminds us just how incredible dogs really are and how truly lucky we are to do what we do ♥️🙏

April highlights at Katie’s K9s ☀️🐾🌷

From Easter egg hunts and birthday celebrations to glorious sunny adventures across the Cheshire countryside, the month has been filled with wagging tails, happy faces and plenty of special moments.

We’ve loved welcoming so many familiar faces back for holidays and daycare sessions, whilst also introducing a few lovely new additions to the gang who have settled in beautifully. Watching friendships grow between our dogs is one of the best bits of what we do.

Another highlight for this month has been seeing our gorgeous Lily continue to thrive in her recovery after her operation in January... Seeing her back out with her friends, enjoying countryside adventures and making the most of the sunshine again has been incredibly special.

As always, we’re so grateful to all of our wonderful owners for trusting us with your dogs and allowing us to be part of their lives.

Here’s to even more adventures, cuddles and sunny days ahead 🌿🐶

A proud milestone for us today ✨🐾

Following our first annual licensing inspection, we’re delighted to share that we were recognised for operating to the highest standards across all areas of our care 🥰

While we’ll formally be eligible for a 5⭐️ licence rating at renewal, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that everything we do already reflects that level of excellence 💪🏼

Providing a safe, enriching and truly exceptional environment for every dog in our care will always be our priority and today’s feedback is a reflection of that commitment ♥️

A lovely moment to pause, reflect, and feel proud of what’s been built so far with so much more still to come 🥰
