Such a special day at the Kingswood Christmas Show this past Sunday ✨🐴

Huge well done to Hattie, who rode Chester beautifully in the Intro 3 and Prelim 1 — such lovely, confident riding and a great partnership on display 💙

And the biggest congratulations to Lara, who also rode Chester in the Intro 1 at her very first competition ever! What an amazing achievement and such a brave, happy ride 🌟

I’m now offering friendly, confidence-building riding and groundwork services for you and your horses. Whether you’re looking to improve your partnership, get some extra support, or need someone to keep your horse exercised, I’m here to help!

• ✨30-minute lesson on your own horse – £20

Supportive, clear guidance to help you progress at your pace.

• ✨15-minute groundwork session – £15

Short, focused sessions to improve manners, communication, and connection from the ground.

I can ride your horse for you, whether that’s keeping them in work, schooling, or just helping them stay consistent.

✨ Meet Jo Clewlow – Dressage Rider & Coach ✨

I’m Jo, a 22-year-old self-trained Grand Prix dressage rider and current university student studying Physical Education and Sports Coaching. Horses have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember – I grew up in South Africa and moved to the UK at age 12 to pursue my dream of competing at the highest levels. By the time I was 14, I had already achieved the goal of going international on ponies.

Over the years, I’ve developed a passion not only for riding but also for coaching and developing partnerships between horse and rider. My journey has taught me resilience, dedication, and the importance of connection – qualities I now bring into my teaching.

Whether it’s dressage, groundwork, showing, or jumping, my focus is on helping riders achieve their goals while building strong, confident, and enjoyable relationships with their horses

Hi I am Josephine.
I am passionate about helping riders build a harmonious partnership with their horse, focusing on developing connection and confidence through the classical scales of training.

My approach is centred on strengthening the horse–rider relationship, setting realistic and achievable goals, and creating the foundations for success both inside and outside the competition arena.

Alongside dressage coaching, I also work with horses through groundwork to build trust and understanding, and can provide support in showing and jumping.

Whether you’re aiming for competitive progress or simply a more enjoyable partnership with your horse, I can offer supportive and tailored coaching to help you reach your potential together with your dancing partner.
