Nice to get Alfie back out this weekend after a short break following some dentistry work 🦷

There were many unnecessary extra movements to begin with 🙈 but I was really pleased with how he settled towards the end ☺️

Hopefully we can get out a bit more again and start making some end of season plans 🤞🤞

🧡 Midway Championships 2026 🧡

Absolutely delighted with Magic over the last two days, finishing 4th overall!

It finally feels like I’m starting to get some of the power and strength back that she used to have. After a few years out having a foal and then picking up an unfortunate injury, it’s been a long road back, with the last 18 months spent slowly getting her back to where she is now. It’s so nice to finally feel like all the hard work is starting to pay off 🤩🤩

It’s also been a very long time since she’s competed two days running, so to come away with 3rd yesterday on 69% and 6th today on 66%, I couldn’t be happier 😍☺️

We were so close to a mounted prize giving too, only for me to forget that pesky give and retake 🤦‍♀️ costing us those very valuable 0.5 marks!!

Still absolutely thrilled with her though. I’m so happy to be getting little glimpses of the old Magic’s strength and power coming back. A huge thank you to everyone who has helped along the way, but especially to Lone Oak Stables training and schooling for pushing us to be the best we can be in this journey 🙏

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Alfie!

He’s had his first set of plaits and been out to a few dressage competitions, and it’s definitely proving that repetition and consistency are key with him. He still finds it all very exciting when we go out to parties 🙈🫣

After a very exuberant warm up at the Beaufort Show, I was really pleased with how he settled and even came away with his first rosettes🥉🏅

There’s still plenty to work on, particularly keeping his attention on me in the canter, but it’s promising to see some really positive comments from the judges and to see him starting to settle and focus more when out and about 🤩

After a few super busy weeks, it was nice to head off on a spontaneous trip to Giffords Circus yesterday 🎪

What an amazing show 😶🤩 Couldn’t fault it, incredible performances and definitely something I’d recommend to anyone if you get the chance to go.

Back to it today though, with another busy week ahead! 💪 Lots has been going on recently, so I’ll try and share a bit more over the next few days ☺️

It was lovely to see some of the Beaufort Hunt PC members I support at the Eventing Qualifiers this weekend too!

There were some fantastic results across the 70, 80, 90, 100 and 105 classes, and it was brilliant to see everyone’s hard work paying off with many qualifying for the prestigious PC Champs. A huge well done to everyone who competed!

A special mention has to go to Rose W, who has worked so incredibly hard over the winter to improve her dressage. All her effort paid off with an amazing score of 24.2 to win her section! 🤩🏆 What a fantastic achievement 👏 I’m so proud of you!

Now time to get practicing for Champs! 💪🐴

🐴 Pony Club Area 9 Eventing Qualifiers 🐴

A slightly different kind of competition day for me on Saturday!

I had a lovely morning taking Ella and Mickey to their PC Area 9 Eventing Qualifiers, getting Mickey plaited and turned out, and being chief groom for the day so Ella could concentrate on her riding. I really enjoy supporting my clients at competitions and helping everything run as smoothly as possible from start to finish 🥰🥰

It was such a lovely day, and I really enjoyed spending it with Ella and Mickey. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your day, I loved it!
