It’s been a busy week! Starting with a trip to Rectory Farm to get some dressage practice on grass ahead of our next event 💃🐴

It was great to put into practice some of the work we’ve been focusing on at home, and we were delighted to come away with scores of 30 and 31. He’s definitely getting stronger and more established in his work 👏

There’s still plenty to improve on, but it’s exciting to see the progress… especially when you’re trying to contain that much horse in a 20x40 arena! 🫣🙈

Really pleased with 5yo Alfie earlier this week (before it got too hot!) after not having been out in the lorry for a few weeks! Despite plenty of external distractions, I was so happy with his focus and attitude 👏

Still plenty to work on with keeping him forwards and responsive in new places, but really pleased with his progress so far 🤎

The face of a pony who’s just completed her first affiliated tests in 4 years 🥳

I think it’s fair to say we were both a little ring rusty today, but still very happy to come home with our first qualification scores for the Elementary Summer Festivals 🤞👏

So proud of Magic and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get back to this point 🧡

It’s not always pretty, but it’s always some form of progress 😉

Alfie’s second group lesson today and he was much much better behaved 😈 He still finds new places and distractions very exciting (as you’d expect at this stage!) but it’s great to see his confidence growing and progress being made each time 🤎
