We are sad to announce that Harley, CHeWs longest serving member travelled over the rainbow bridge on 09/07. He was 16 years old.
Tennis ball obsessive, treat snatcher and bark expert, Harley was cherished by everyone who met him.

We would like to apologise to all CHeWs members.

Those who are halfway through our puppy course having this disruption to their training have been very understanding.

Those who were supposed to start recently, I understand your frustration and have refunded your deposits when requested. I hope you find a club able to open in this heat. Unfortunately we cannot.

To our regular long-standing members. Your support has been unwavering and it is very much appreciated.

I hope this disruption does not cause us to consider closing classes long-term. As always, the safety of the dogs comes above all else, even the future of CHeWs.

To All CHeWs members. I have decided to close CHeWs until the weather cools down. Although temperatures are supposed to be cooling next week, the hall remains hot into the evening and we cannot open the windows.

I am sorry to have to make this decision but the safety of your dogs is always the priority. I will be selling the remaining stock of treats and Liver paste on Monday night between 7-9pm so it does not go to waste. Please feel free to pop in and stock up.

We will be closed 29/30/1/6/7/8 and I will update after that.

Puppy class members. I understand this is really disappointing and I offer you the choice to have a £30 refund on your course or wait until we can restart classes again. Please contact me on 07732306543 or [email protected] to discuss. I will still be available for advice and support whatever your decision.

New puppy course members who were due to start this week. I can offer you a refund of your deposit if you do not wish to wait until we re-open.

Dear CHeWs member

After taking the current heat alert warnings into account, I have decided to close all classes on June 22/23/24

Courses will start the following week and you will not lose any weeks as the course will have the starting week added to the end.

I apologise but I am sure you understand the need to keep your dogs safe. Our Church hall has very large windows and retains heat well into the evening

Dear CHeWs members

The temperature next week is expected to be 30 degrees. This is not safe for dogs and I have decided for everyone's wellbeing to cancel classes next week. I understand it may be cooler Wednesday but I'm not prepared to risk it.

We hope to re-open the following (1st/2nd/3rd June) week as usual depending on the weather. Those of you on the puppy course will have the class rolled over to include an extra week at the end of the course.
