Getting Used to New Gear – One Step at a Time!

Our lovely Rodders is rocking a new cap as we help him adjust to some hair loss caused by pemphigus. But just like with harnesses, coats, or even muzzles, new equipment should always be introduced gradually and positively!

✅ Start with short, fun sessions – let your dog sniff and explore the new item.
✅ Pair it with tasty treats and praise to create good associations.
✅ Go at their pace—comfort and confidence first!
✅ Keep it positive—never force it!

Whether it's a hat, a harness, boots for winter, or a muzzle, taking it slow ensures your dog is happy, stress-free, and ready for adventures.
