‼️Just a reminder to all puppy owners, especially those with toy breeds — if your puppy ever seems unwell, even for a short period of time, please take them to the vet immediately.‼️😭

With tiny breeds, things can change very quickly. Waiting even a few hours when a puppy is lethargic, not eating, vomiting, or just “not acting right” can make a huge difference in their outcome.

These little bodies are so small and fragile that they don’t have the reserves larger dogs do. Early veterinary care can truly save their life.

Please always trust your instincts and seek veterinary care right away if something feels off. It is always better to be safe and have them checked than to wait.

Our babies depend on us to act quickly when they need help. 🐾

😔😞Today we said goodbye to one of the tiniest babies from our program, and it has been an incredibly hard and emotional 24 hours.

She had been properly dewormed and had received her first set of vaccinations before leaving for her new home. Last night her new owner noticed she was not feeling well and took her to the emergency vet where they discovered she was battling a severe worm infestation. The vet treated her and sent her home.

Unfortunately she began to decline again through the night. Her owner reached out to me and asked if I could come get her so we could continue trying to help her.

I went and picked her up and brought her to my veterinarian where they worked hard to stabilize her. She fought so hard throughout the day and we truly believed she might pull through.

When I went to pick her up this evening to bring her home and continue caring for her, she suddenly declined and passed peacefully in my hands.

Sometimes with these tiny toy breed babies, even when you do everything right and fight with everything you have, their little bodies are just too fragile.

She was loved from the moment she was born and every second until her last breath.

Run free over the rainbow bridge sweet girl. Your tiny life mattered and you will never be forgotten. 🌈🐾🤍

Sylvia’s whole litter officially went to their furever homes yesterday 🐾💔✨

Watching them walk out the door is always bittersweet… but seeing the smiles on their new families’ faces makes it all worth it. These babies were so loved here, and I know they’re going to be absolutely spoiled 🥰

Thank you to every family who trusted Amy’s Tails & Paws Toy Pups with your new best friend. Sylvia did amazing, and I couldn’t be more proud of her sweet little crew 💕

She is the runt of the litter, the tiniest little thing, and hands down one of the sweetest babies I’ve had in a long time 🥹 She may be small, but her personality is pure love. She just wants to be held, cuddled, and close to you at all times.

After a long pregnancy and absorbing most of her puppies, Molly truly kept us on our toes. But I’m so happy to share that last night between 12am–1am, we safely delivered
