With the hot weather this week, please remember how dangerous the heat can be for dogs. Avoid walking them during the hottest parts of the day, keep them cool, and make sure they always have plenty of water and shade. 💧

For some dogs, grooming during extreme heat can also be stressful and unsafe. Because your dog’s wellbeing comes first, some appointments may need to be adjusted or rescheduled this week depending on the temperatures.

Had the very handsome boy Ace in the salon for his deshed!

May is peak shedding season for double-coated breeds like Huskies, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Collies, and Labradors. As the weather warms up, they naturally start “blowing” their winter coat — and without proper grooming, all that loose fur can lead to matting, overheating, itchy skin, and tumbleweeds of hair all over your home 😅
