2024 ... 💜

What a year its been! Some incredible highs and unfortunately some low lows!

I've met some incredible people this year, new clients I now call friends and some lovely horses and ponies.

I can't wait to see what 2025 brings ... wishing you all and all of your horses/ponies all of the very best, health and happiness in the world!

Meet the lovely Merlyn🧙‍♂️

Merlyn is a baby at five years old. He's been having some babyish moments and has learnt how to throw a pretty impressive buck, this has developed into being his party trick😅.

His lovely owner Lisa has had pretty much a full MOT done on him and he's been given the all clear.

Knowing the above, along with riding him today, for the first time - I believe the bucks are being thrown to counteract some imbalance and him generally being green. He's managed to unseat his other rider prior to this, and because of their hesitation, he uses bucking as an evasion, amongst him being a little weaker on his hind end.

I'm looking forward to riding him more regularly and seeing how he progresses over time😊.

Kanga is my 12 year old Oldenburg mare - we bought her as a two year old and we've been through so much together, including the highs, the lows and everything in between😅.

I've never met a horse like her before, she has enough personality for all of us and definitely makes her feelings known! 🤣

She is very opinionated and incredibly sensitive. Although she can be a people pleaser, she is also quite an insecure horse naturally and gets a lot of her confidence from me.

She shows so much talent over a fence and it was my ambition to affiliate her in both dressage and showjumping - however unfortunately, she's recently injured both her collateral ligament and her superficial tendon from having a bit too much fun in the field🤦🏽‍♀️.

I'm currently in the middle of her rehab which (touchwood) is going really well and she's improved significantly, so hopefully we'll be able to get her to the point as to where she can be a happy hacker😊.

She's my baby and will always have a home with me, even if she turns out to be a massive hoover🐷

I've been backing and producing ponies/horses from the age of 8, these are just a handful I had readily available that I could share with you.

There are some really fond memories with some of these ponies/horses pictured💜.

So grateful to have been a part of their ridden careers and their owners for trusting me with their babies - some of which have definitely helped shape me into the rider I am today.

It's a night of reminiscing😊

Hi All,

After 18 years of backing, producing and working with a variety of different horses and ponies with their own strengths, weaknesses and problematic behaviours, I have decided to create this page! 😅

I'll be offering a variety of services in which I can offer a wealth of knowledge in the following:

-Backing
-Schooling
-Hacking
-All aspects of groundwork
-Desensitisation
-1-2-1 Lessons

This will primarily be on a mobile basis, where I can travel to you.

I am based in Chester/Wirral, but happy to travel to surrounding areas. I also cover Merseyside/Bickerstaffe/Ormskirk/Southport frequently.

I have plenty of references available from over the years, which will highlight my experience with a plethora of different horses.
