Got the pleasure of microchipping 5 of these adorable pups on Sunday. Samoyeds… not a breed you see very often. They were all very well behaved and no major dramas 😊

So I have a small competition… all you need to do it like and share this post. I’m offering 5 free microchips (including registration). Address must be within 10 miles of DH2. Winner will be drawn on the evening of Wednesday 25th May. All animals to be chipped must be at the same address.

So here we have it.. new legislation going through which will be enforced in 2023. It will be a legal requirement that all owned cats need to be microchipped. All kittens born after the date the legislation is brought in need to be microchipped before they reach 20 weeks of age. If you have an older cat that isn’t microchipped you will need to arrange to have it microchipped

The new rules are aimed at ensuring cats can be returned home if they get lost or are stolen.

Did you know that at some point in the not so distant future the UK Government will be making it compulsory that all cats are microchipped by law? Specific details are yet to be released. Having your cat microchipped in your own home reduces your cat’s stress level as no travelling as required. Contact me to arrange your appointment.

1. Consider rehoming
2. Do your research
3. Don't buy banned animals
4. Use the or if buying from a breeder
5. Buy from a licensed seller
6. Ask about the animal's health
7. Meet the animal's mum too
8. Microchip cats and dogs
9. Don't feel pressured into getting a pet
