ANNOUNCEMENT: NEW GAP NATURE RESERVE 🐆🌾

After more than 14 years of supporting sustainable conservation in South Africa, we're incredibly proud to announce that we’ve taken on ownership of Hanover Nature Reserve, a breathtaking part of the Waterberg in Limpopo, and the newest conservation site owned and protected by Gap Africa Projects.

This 2,000-acre reserve is more than just a landscape, it's our commitment to conservation, research, and community education. We’re actively reinvesting in nature, and Hanover will serve as living laboratory where students, researchers, and conservationists collaborate to monitor ecosystems, restore habitats, and drive rewilding efforts.

The Waterberg is one of South Africa’s most ecologically diverse regions yet remains relatively understudied, making it critical for focused conservation efforts.

We’re also thrilled to be partnering with our neighbours at Swebeswebe Nature Reserve, combining our land and dropping fences to create one continuous conservation area spanning over 15,000 acres, with a shared vision for continuous expansion of protected land in the Waterberg.

By collaborating with leading research and conservation organisations, we’re investing in long-term solutions to protect this extraordinary landscape for future generations and we’re proud to be the custodians of this incredible reserve.
