HELP WITH XL BULLY NEUTERING AND ADVICE FROM The Vet Bristol

We understand this is a difficult time for many XL Bully dog owners. We never want finances to be a barrier to someone being able to keep their much-loved pet. That’s why we’re offering 20% off the cost of neutering for all XL Bullies in January and February 2024, to support more owners in being able to comply with the terms of the new legislation.

Simply book your dog’s appointment and, at the time of booking, provide evidence that the application process for your Certificate of Exemption is underway. Remember, the deadline for applications is 31 January 2024.

Once your dog is neutered, your Vet will be able to issue a confirmation of neutering form. Defra will use the form as evidence that you have met the neutering requirement for your dog to receive their Certificate of Exemption.

From 31 December 2023, by law, all XL Bully dogs will be required to wear a muzzle and be walked on a lead when in public. We ask kindly if customers can comply with these guidelines when bringing their XL Bully dogs into our surgeries. If you need help with muzzle training, this can be arranged with one of our Nurses.

HELP AVAILABLE IN THE ESSEX AREA

🐾Cat protection have a neutering scheme that currently is advertised.. 🐾

🐈‍⬛This instead of the C4 scheme and is nationwide, so wherever you are in the UK and have a vet close by that has signed up for the scheme, they will help you. Please make use of it!! You can get up to 3 owned cats neutered and chipped from one address if you are on means tested benefits or earn under £25,000 for £10 (bargain!)

One stray is able to be neutered per household on the below scheme. Again you do not need to call CP, you can go to a vets that signed up to the scheme and they can be neuter and chipped. 🐾

Hello!

We will be talking about the plans we have for this resource soon but right now we have no funds available for the pet food bank. However Gemma and Samantha have been fulfilling every request from Perrera funds. We cannot continue doing this so we're telling you what we've spent in the hope that we can get some donations specifically for the foodbank and stop relying on draining other funds.

As the cold is setting in, our requests for help have increased and we're running low on supplies!!

We want to be able to help everyone who comes to us for help, but we can't do that without the help of donations of food or funds from you guys.

Today we visited the amazing Wanderers Haven Animal Sanctuary a fantastic small rescue that are doing absolutely amazing work especially in such hard times!

We brought some wet dog food donations to try and ease the load but we are painfully aware that this will only cover a few days for them. We both have Amazon wish lists if anyone would like to donate 💚

They would also be very grateful for any donations of towels or blankets etc

The best way to rescue is to work together!
