I love this girly ❤️🫶
Nala is such a sweet though slightly nervous girl who although not bred as an XL (she's a rescue) unfortunately she does fall into the banned breed requirements
Love using Clarence park to get her accustomed to new people and dogs ❤️

*Price update for walks*
Just to inform those who do solo walks.
I'm having to update my pricing to an extra £5.
This is just to account for finance contributions ❤️
If a group is requested but the dog is alone or for things such as dog in season etc, this won't be different to a group price.
This increase is mainly for dogs who need the solo walks 😊
Pop in visits are still £10 🫶

Posted • Preventing unwanted litters is a goal we all share—but it’s time to rethink the surgical approach. Hysterectomies and vasectomies, which preserve hormonal balance, can safely be performed as early as 8 weeks of age, making dogs sterile without disrupting their natural hormones.

In this study, researchers looked at whether the age at which dogs were spayed or neutered, meaning how long they were exposed to their natural s*x hormones, affected how healthy they were in old age. They studied a group of long-lived pet dogs to learn what helps dogs live longer, healthier lives. Dogs with the fewest age-related health problems were considered the most “robust.”

The results showed that both male and female dogs who kept their hormones longer (i.e., were spayed or neutered later) were 3 to 10 times more likely to be healthy in old age compared to those altered earlier. Once hormone exposure and age were taken into account, there was no difference in old-age health between males and females.

This study highlights how important s*x hormones may be for staying healthy later in life and shows that early-life decisions—like when to spay or neuter—can have long-term effects on health.

This is amazing.
But also to remember that it takes its toll on you and just as much time to focus on yourself. If you need a break from training because of other things then that is okay.

Me and my boy are each other's grounding individuals. When I struggle he is my rock, when he struggles I work with him.

Being a dog trainer is one thing
But being a dog trainer who is neurodivergent and has mental health struggles is another.

Be kind to yourself ❤️
Your doing the best you can ❤️

Passionate and dedicated dog trainer

I am a local dog trainer based in Axbridge but covers all counties of north somerset, sedgemoor and mendip. I am a unique dog trainer as i train based on concepts and building of personality through games and inspiration. I train clients dogs by preparing them for the situation they are struggling with as opposed to training in the situation. Such as training confidence inside the house with the owner present and training calmness for a dog with seperation anxiety and slowly increasing distance and duration but including as minimal reaction as possible.

The best reaction to stimuli is no response. We want our dogs to remain calm in situations and be able to have an optimistic and enhanced view of life which is what i strive to do. I train and build personality in dogs in a variety of ways from building focus and proximity, to developing calmness and building confidence.

I am an ethical and positive trainer who trains through inspiration and motivation and avoids any use of aversive, forceful or harmful training methods and strive to develop education on this subject as well as development of us as humans to be able to read dogs body language and be able to understand our canine friends a lot more. I charge mileage at a set £5 and offer services such as 1:1 training, group classes, solo, group and puppy walks and behaviour training.

I look forward to meeting you and your pups
