Toby ❤️ A stunning Maine C**n cross 😺
These cats are known for being one of the largest domesticated breeds and can weigh up to 10kg! Toby is on the smaller side but he doesn't need to know that 🤫
As they are long-haired, they should be brushed everyday to avoid matting.
Unfortunately Toby still gets knots/matting under his armpits (legpits?) and in his groin area, so his family book me in every now and then to give them a hand.
As you can imagine, Toby isn't a fan of his de-matts, so I take my time using lots of feliway, head scratches and treats along the way!

🚨 New advice for heat stroke: WET THEN VET 🚨

💦 Submerge in cold water (Make sure head is above water level)
💦 Drench using buckets or a hose
🥵 DO NOT use wet towels as they trap the heat
🥵 DO NOT use ice water as this can cause shock
🚑 Take them straight to the vets after wetting them

Please contact your vets or myself for further advice

Look at this handsome chap 😻 I've had the pleasure of keeping him company this past week. His family are away on holiday, so he's been getting spoilt at home with lots of games and a few cheeky treats 🤫

Blaze, Loki, Duchess & Leelou ❤️

Today involved a hygiene clip for all 4 of these beauties! A little trim around their bums to help keep them nice and clean and fresh as daisies 🌺

Lots of breaks, head scratches, treats and Pet Remedy were involved 🤭

Belle & Sky ❤️
These 2 lovely ladies had a pedicure today 💅
Sky was very well behaved, she is a food-orientated girl so got lots of treats during and after!
Belle isn't a fan of having her nails clipped but we took our time and had lots of breaks and cuddles, making it as fun and stress-free as possible

At home nail clips are a great alternative if your pup doesn't like the vets or groomers! 🏠

I hope everyone is enjoying this weather whilst we have it 🌞

Please be mindful that our pets can suffer in this heat

See below for some helpful tips ☺️

🥵 If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them!

📢 Missing a walk won't hurt but a walk in this heat might!

💦 Keep them water bowls/bottles filled up and them fans on!

🐶 Dog Parents - Walk in the early morning or late evening, or skip it altogether

🐰 Rabbit/Guinea Pig Parents - Keep them indoors if you can or ensure they have plenty of shade

WARNING SIGNS TO CONTACT VET - Excessive panting
- Excessive drooling
- Abnormal breathing,
- Vomiting +/- diarrhoea
- Collapsing

Top Tip - Pat damp towels over your pet, DO NOT leave the towels on them as they will trap the heat!
