🌸 Calling all Shih Tzus (and Shih Tzu mixes)! 🌸

After lots of requests, our next breed-specific Stay & Play is finally here… and it’s all about the Shih Tzus! 🐶💕

Join us for a relaxed, friendly morning where your little lion dog can socialise, play, explore, or simply watch the world go by at their own pace. Whether they’re the life of the party or prefer to observe from a comfy spot, there’s something for everyone.

✨ Fun games and enrichment activities

✨ Coffee, drinks & homemade goodies for owners

✨ A chance to meet fellow Shih Tzu lovers

These sessions are all about bringing together dogs of the same breed in a safe, positive environment while their humans enjoy a cuppa and a chat. ☕🐾

Puppy classes in a hall are fine. Puppy classes across Jersey are better 🐾

Here’s the thing about puppy training that doesn’t get talked about enough:
🧐 Dogs learn in context.
If your puppy only practises “sit” in the kitchen or a village hall, guess what - “sit” only works in the kitchen or a village hall. The second you’re on a busy pavement or at a crowded park? Blank stare. Zero recall. Classic. 🙃

Training outside changes everything. Your puppy learns that the rules apply everywhere - on the beach, in town, near horses, next to a very suspicious bin bag. They build real focus, not just classroom focus.

And the socialisation piece? It’s not just about meeting other dogs. True socialisation is exposing your pup to traffic, cyclists, echoing sounds, and unpredictable environments while they’re young - because that’s what reduces the risk of fear and anxiety later in life.

5 weeks. Saturdays 9–10am. Starting 20th June. 📍 Different locations across the island.

🐾 ZERO TO HERO: ADOLESCENCE CLASS 🐾

Got a teenage dog who suddenly seems to have forgotten everything they’ve ever learned? You’re not alone. 🙃

Adolescence is one of the most challenging stages of dog ownership. Between 6 and 18 months, dogs go through huge physical and mental changes. They become more independent, more distracted, start testing boundaries, and may even seem to “unlearn” commands they once knew perfectly. Great! 🤪

Our 5-week Zero to Hero course is designed to guide you through it.

We’ll help you build focus around distractions, improve recall, loose lead walking and impulse control, while strengthening the bond between you and your dog. 🤝🏼

Our experienced trainers will be there every step of the way to offer support, advice and practical solutions to the challenges that come with raising a teenage dog.

This class is always incredibly popular and spaces are limited, so don’t wait too long to secure your spot!

We’re going to say something that might surprise you.

In Jersey, land can be approved for horses, chickens, pigs. The UK legally protects dogs the same way it protects farm animals. Guernsey allows change of use land for dog care. Even our neighbouring island has figured this out! 🇬🇬

Jersey has nearly 11,000 dogs and 800 horses. One of those animals has protected land use. We’ll let you work out which.

But here’s what gives us hope. The response from this community has been incredible. The comments, the shares, the messages ❤️
You have shown up for Jersey’s dogs in a way that genuinely means everything to us, but we are not done yet and neither are you.
Because, the reality is simple, there exists a small number of people who want to see nothing more than for us to fail and dogs forever relegated to your living rooms.

Life is expensive. People work. Dogs are family! 🥰 More and more people are bringing canine companions into their lives, and they need somewhere professional, safe and designed for them to thrive.

We built that place. Rural land in St Martin, fully enclosed, privately funded, staffed by professional people who have dedicated their careers to dogs. 🐶

The land is ready. The team is ready, now policy needs to catch up.

EXTRA SASSY SATURDAY ALERT ⚡️
Our breed specific Stay & Plays are back by popular demand… and this time it’s the Pomeranians’ turn 🐻💅

We’ve got the Chihuahuas taking over in the morning, so we thought… why not make it a full day of tiny dogs with huge personalities?!

Plenty of opportunities for the Poms to either:
✨ rule the room
✨ make new floofy friends
✨ get stuck into fun enrichment activities
✨ or sit and judge everyone from a distance

☕️ Parents can relax with refreshments & homemade baked goods/snacks while the dogs enjoy a safe, supervised indoor play session.
