Sunday pamper day for my beautiful Misty & Pedro 🥰🇪🇸

With this hot weather, these two had a lovely cool bath today, which they thoroughly enjoyed! Hopefully they’re feeling a little fresher and a lot less itchy now too. ❤️

These two are my own personal Spanish imports and very much the OGs of Equine Amigos. 🇪🇸🐴 Both originally came over with the idea that I would produce them and eventually find them new homes… but, as tends to happen with me, I fell completely in love with them and they never left. 😂 They both have my whole heart and are very firmly part of the family.

I definitely have a bit of a track record for falling in love with the horses I import, but I actually think that’s a huge part of why I do things the way I do.

There is never a rush for me to sell a horse. While they’re with me, they’re treated exactly as I would treat one of my own - they’re given time to settle, time to show me who they really are, and time for me to understand the sort of home and person they need.

Finding their forever person will always be far more important to me than simply making a sale. I won’t sell to the first person who comes along just because they’re interested. It has to feel right for the horse as much as it does for the person buying them.

And if that means they stay with me a little longer while we wait for the right person, that’s absolutely fine by me… although judging by my track record, there’s always the danger they might never leave at all! 😂🙈❤️

✨🤍 Sometimes the right ending just takes a little longer... 🤍✨

Our misunderstood golden boy, Luca, has officially been given his second chance... and this time, we just know he's found his person. ❤️

When Luca came back to us, I'll be honest, I questioned everything. But deep down I knew he wasn't a "problem horse" - he was simply a sensitive soul who needed someone to truly understand him.

The wonderful client who has welcomed Luca into her family is the same amazing lady who previously bought our beloved Koko, so I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that he has landed exactly where he was always meant to be.

Of course he's a little anxious while he settles into yet another new routine - that's completely understandable after everything he's been through. But this time, nobody is expecting him to be something he isn't. His quirks are understood, his sensitivity is appreciated, and he's being given all the time, patience and kindness he needs to feel safe.

Already, hearing how well he's settling in fills my heart with so much happiness. ❤️

Sometimes horses don't fail in their first homes... they're simply waiting for the home that truly sees them.

Everything happens for a reason, and I genuinely believe Luca's return was so he could find his perfect forever home. Watching this next chapter begin is incredibly special, and I cannot wait to see him flourish.

Be happy, my beautiful golden boy... you deserve the world. 💛✨

🐴🌳 The Best Partnerships Are Built on Trust 💙

One thing we've always said about Luca is that he isn't difficult... he's just sensitive. ❤️

With time, patience and consistency, he's grown in confidence every single week. This video shows him doing exactly what every owner wants - a relaxed, happy hack in company. 🌿✨

He happily takes everything in his stride, enjoys getting out and about, and is becoming more confident with every ride. 🥰

It's so rewarding to watch a horse begin to relax, trust and enjoy his work. Those moments don't happen by chance - they come from allowing them the time they need to settle and understand what's being asked of them. 💙

Luca is looking for a home that will continue that journey. Someone who'll appreciate the horse he is today, while enjoying watching him grow into an even more confident partner tomorrow. ❤️

It's always easy to focus on the finished product... but every horse has a journey. ❤️

Luca is proving time and time again that, with patience, understanding and consistency, he wants to do the right thing. Every schooling session is another step forward, and we're so proud of how he's progressing. 🌟

He's soft, willing and genuinely tries his heart out. Like many sensitive horses, he thrives when he trusts his rider and understands what's being asked of him. Once that partnership is there, he gives you everything he's got. 🥹💙

Luca isn't looking for someone who expects perfection from day one. He's looking for someone who'll enjoy the journey, appreciate the little wins, and build a partnership based on trust. 🤍

We truly believe the right person is out there, and they're going to have a very special horse. ✨

🐴💙 Patience Really Does Pay Off... 💙🐴

We wanted to share this video because it shows a side of Luca that's so important. ❤️

What you see here didn't happen overnight. It has taken time, consistency, patience and allowing him to settle into a routine, build trust and realise he's safe. ✨

Now he's happy to be caught, groomed, fussed over and stands beautifully to be tacked up. He's a kind, affectionate horse who genuinely enjoys attention. 🥰

Luca isn't a horse that will walk into a new home and be exactly the same on day one. He needs someone who understands that horses like him need time to decompress, settle and build confidence. But if you're prepared to give him that time, he'll repay you tenfold. 💙

Sometimes the best horses aren't the ones that settle the quickest... they're the ones that create the strongest bond. 🤍

💛 Who recognises this beautiful face? 😍

Please join us in giving our gorgeous golden boy, Luca, a very warm welcome back to Equine Amigos. 🐴💛

Just over two months ago, Luca returned to us.

When he originally left, we genuinely believed we'd found him the perfect home. 🏡 We were completely honest about the type of horse he is and the time we felt he would need to settle.

Unfortunately, after just two weeks, Luca's new owner felt he wasn't going to settle, and he returned to us.

I'll be honest... it was incredibly hard. 💔 We'd invested so much time in helping him become the horse we knew he could be, and it felt like we'd lost so much of the progress we'd worked so hard to achieve.

This time, we asked very little of him.

🌿 We gave him time.
🤍 We gave him routine.
✨ We gave him consistency.

We let him settle, find his feet and simply be a horse.

And that's exactly what Luca needed. 💛

Today, he's back to being the affectionate, willing and genuine horse we always knew he could be. 🥹

Luca is still a sensitive soul who forms strong bonds with other horses and is happiest living in a herd environment. 🐎 That's simply who he is, and his future home needs to embrace that.

💭 The biggest lesson this journey has reinforced is that you simply can't judge a sensitive horse after just two weeks in a new home.

If you're looking for a horse to move yards and be exactly the same a week later, Luca isn't the horse for you.

❤️ However, if you're willing to give him the time, patience and understanding he deserves, we truly believe you'll have one of the most genuine partners you could wish for.

⏳ In our experience, Luca needs around four months to truly settle and show you the horse he becomes.

We've reduced his price because we have new horses arriving, but we won't compromise on the home he goes to.

💛 If anything, this journey has made us even more determined to find Luca the home he truly deserves.

🏡 The right home is out there... and we'll happily wait for it. 💛

✨ Zorro Update – My Special Boy ✨🐴

I thought I'd give everyone a little Zorro update! 🧡

As busy as I am producing our sales horses and helping them find their perfect homes, I still make time to enjoy my very own special boy. ❤️🐴 He's my reminder of why I love this sport so much, and every ride with him is another opportunity for me to learn and grow.

We've been out competing and thoroughly enjoying the journey together, but behind the scenes we're continuing to put in plenty of training to strengthen our partnership and improve our connection.

The funny thing is... Zorro already knows his job far better than I do! 🤣 This incredibly talented boy has all the movements, and every time I sit on him, he teaches me something new. He's showing me just how much there is to learn, and I'm loving every second of the challenge.

Dressage is such a humbling sport. The more you learn, the more you realise there is still so much to improve. Every ride and every competition is another opportunity to become a better rider, and I'm incredibly grateful to have a horse that is so generous, patient and unbelievably talented.

People often ask if he'll be for sale, and at this point I think it's safe to say that's very unlikely in the foreseeable future. ❤️ He's become such a huge part of my own journey, and I still feel like we're only scratching the surface of what we can achieve together.

✨ Venti's First Arena Hire... What a Boy! ✨🐴🤍

Today was our gorgeous Venti's very first arena hire since arriving from Spain, and we honestly couldn't be prouder of him. 🇪🇸➡️🇬🇧

From the moment we arrived, he was an absolute gentleman. He loaded beautifully, travelled perfectly and stepped off the trailer calm, relaxed and ready to see what the day had in store.

For a horse that's only recently arrived in the UK, he took everything completely in his stride. New surroundings, different horses, unfamiliar sights and sounds... none of it worried him. He simply looked, processed everything and got on with it. 💙

One of the things we love most about Venti is his incredible temperament. Most of the time he wasn't even tied up and happily stood beside the trailer, patiently waiting for the next instruction. No fuss, no drama - just a genuinely kind, trusting horse who wants to be with his person. 🥹

When we entered the arena, that same attitude continued. He walked in as though he'd been there before, taking in everything around him without becoming tense or overwhelmed. It's this sensible, level-headed outlook that makes him such a pleasure to produce.

Venti is still green in his schooling because he spent much of his life in Spain enjoying hacking rather than focused arena work. He's learning something new every day, and what he lacks in education, he more than makes up for with his willingness to learn, kind nature and fantastic brain. Education can be given - but a temperament like his is something truly special. ❤️

We genuinely can't wait to continue his journey and watch him grow into the horse we know he's capable of becoming.

We are so, so proud of you, Venti. 🌟
