We are going to be trialing something new over the next few weeks due to requests from all of you.

We are going to be open on a Thursday till 9pm as so many people have asked us to do this as nowhere else stays open late 🕘

In order to facilitate this we are going to be closed on a Sunday as our staff need sometime off to recharge their batteries.

It’s only a trial …. Let’s see how this goes 😊

One of our customers called into store today for something very important — quality time with their baby Yellow-Naped Amazon. 🥰

Their chick isn’t quite ready to leave us yet, but we love encouraging families to visit, bond and build that relationship while their baby is still being hand-reared.

We never rush our babies out the door. When we believe this little one is fully ready, confident and prepared for the next chapter, that’s when it will be flying off to its forever home. 🏡🦜

We’ve waited a LONG time for this delivery… and today they finally arrived!

GREEN SPOTTED PUFFER FISH! 🐡🔥

This is a species we’ve always loved, and we’re absolutely delighted to have our first ever Green Spotted Puffers in store.

These little characters are anything but ordinary. 👇

🐡 Huge personalities — inquisitive, intelligent and always watching what’s going on
🐡 Stunning markings — bright green backs covered in dark spots with contrasting white bellies
🐡 Fascinating feeding behaviour — their continuously growing teeth mean hard-shelled foods such as snails are important
🐡 A proper “pet fish” — many learn to recognise the person feeding them
🐡 And yes… when threatened, they have that famous ability to inflate themselves!

⚠️ But these aren’t your average community fish.

Green Spotted Puffers require specialist care.
