🦋 So passionate about a new chapter of Elaine Richmond Pet Bereavement Support. With making some more space in my diary and being able to offer more support to many people. If there is anything you think I can help with please just get in touch. If I am not the appropriate person I will help you find someone who is.

Some examples of what support I have been able to provide previously and some of the “behind the scenes work”-

🩶 attending face to face consultations

🩶 providing lots of support via telephone consultations both initial and numerous follow up sessions

🩶 providing support via messaging services

🩶 attending euthanasia

🩶 caring for a beloved pet post euthanasia and transporting them to where they requested

🩶 networking with two local pet crematoriums who answered my request to meet. Northumbria Pet Crematorium and Pets at Peace who have both been extremely welcoming

🩶 I have been to pet stores and vet practices to introduce myself

🩶 shared my knowledge and experience in relation to those who wish to support another person experiencing loss (what to say, where to signpost them for help etc)

🩶 offered my support to other pet professionals who are experiencing the loss a a pet they cared for. They too are experiencing deep feelings of loss themselves for a pet that maybe is not their own

🩶 becoming a registered member of the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors and then becoming an accredited member

🩶 lots of studying, reading, asking questions and getting lots of support from the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors and the on going cpd and drop in sessions. And wonderful support and kindness too from Dawn Murray BCAh

🦋 It’s been an extremely rewarding 10 months to progress from human to pet bereavement support. It’s an absolute honour and a privilege to help those of you already. And I am again so very sorry to you all for the loss of all these special companion animals.

I just wish every pet lived a little longer. But the love we have for each of them will stay with us forever 🩶
