The Story Behind the Name: TheWhite Ivy Dog Spa

Coming up with a name was way harder than I expected. I spent so much time brainstorming trying to find something that felt right. I started by focusing on words related to dog grooming, but none of them really captured what I wanted this business to feel like. I knew it needed to be more personal.

That’s when I looked closer to home, at the two little inspirations that sparked this whole journey, my dogs.

My last name is White, and my youngest pup is named Ivy. One day it just clicked.. The White Ivy Dog Spa. As soon as I said it out loud, I knew it was the one. It felt elegant, natural, and most importantly, meaningful.

Of course, I couldn’t forget Buddy, my first pup and the one who started it all. I worked with an amazing designer to bring the vision to life, and together we created a logo that features both of my dogs. It’s more than a brand, it’s a piece of my heart.

The White Ivy Dog Spa isn’t just about grooming. It’s about love, care, and treating every dog like family and making them feel their best❤️🐾

This is our very own Britney! Unfortunately we are losing her! It’ll be a massive loss for Smelly Paws! BUT we are very excited for her going it alone! She will be based in Pont-y-clun. Please recommend her! She really is an amazing groomer! ❤️😊

Hi everyone! For those who don’t know me, I’m Britney, and I’ve been a professional dog groomer for almost 9 years. I’m City & Guilds qualified and absolutely passionate about making your pups look and feel their best!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be starting renovations on my new salon based in pontyclun in the next couple of weeks, and I should be open within a month or two! As soon as I have a confirmed opening date, I’ll be taking bookings, so stay tuned for updates.
