Chat & Learn - Animal Therapists & Equine Professionals of Kent
New Date: Thursday, 30th April 2026 - 6pm - 8pm - CT4 7DR
Do you ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of this industry on your own?
Working with animals is incredibly rewarding, but working for yourself in this profession can also be isolating, exhausting and full of pressures that most people outside the industry simply don’t understand:
* Long days travelling between yards.
* Late-night messages from worried owners.
* Chasing invoices from bad payers.
* Trying to set fair prices without feeling guilty.
* Balancing the physical work with running a business.
* Managing the expectations of owners who desperately want the best outcome for their horse or pet.
Whether you’re a Therapist, Saddle Fitter, Bit Fitter, Trainer, Vet or Farrier, the reality is that we often work alone — yet we carry huge responsibility for the animals we care about.
But it doesn’t have to feel that way.
We’re bringing together professionals across Kent for a relaxed and supportive 'Chat & Learn' evening designed specifically for people working in animal and equine professions, and gain CPD points too.
This isn’t a formal lecture or a room full of strangers sitting quietly. It’s a chance to:
• Meet other professionals who understand the realities of the job
• Share experiences and challenges in a supportive environment
• Discuss the practical side of running an animal-based business
• Learn from others across different professions
• Gain CPD while building connections within the local industry
Because the best learning often happens through conversation, shared experience and community.
If you’ve ever wished you had a space to talk openly with others who understand the pressures of this work — this event is for you.
Join us for an evening of connection, conversation and learning.
Did you know that over half of small business owners have experienced poor mental health over the past 12 months - a 124% increase compared with the natiolnal average [source: simplybusiness.co.uk]. Let’s support each other, grow together and strengthen the professional community caring for animals across Kent.
Tickets are limited to keep the event relaxed and conversational.
Please book your ticket as soon as possible via Horse Monkey.
