What a fantastic day at the Cambridgeshire County Show!

A special highlight for us at Lockers Saddlery was having five members of the same family representing five different local businesses across the showground.

Each business plays its part in supporting our rural community, and it was great to see so many familiar faces working hard, meeting customers, and showcasing the best of what our local area has to offer.

We’re proud to be part of such a strong network of businesses that help keep the countryside thriving.

We are thrilled to let you know we’re heading to the Cambridgeshire County Show on 30th May at the beautiful Abbots Ripton Estates, and this one is extra special for us — it’s our home turf! 🏡

A huge thank you to the organisers of the Shropshire County Show for such a fantastic event! We had an absolutely wonderful time.

It was our first year exhibiting with a trade stand, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
We loved connecting with so many incredible people across the Shropshire area and had some great conversations with riders about their saddlery needs. It’s always a pleasure to meet fellow equestrian enthusiasts face to face!

We’re already looking forward to next year. If we didn’t get a chance to chat at the show, feel free to get in touch, we’d love to help with any saddlery requirements 🐴

AFTER SALES SUPPORT
Gemma’s support doesn’t end once you have bought a new saddle.

A follow up appointment is recommended within 12 weeks, to make sure all is well and this is
offered at HALF PRICE.

Regular appointments going forward are recommended as your horse changes shape and
develops with the movement offered by their new saddle.
Any adjustments can then be made, as required.

Gemma looks forward to developing an ongoing working partnership with both you and your
horse, to meet your changing and future needs.

Yesterday’s saddle flock came with a surprise …
Two different types of flocking had been used.

Whilst it might seem harmless, this can lead to a saddle feeling lumpy, hard and uncomfortable for the horse and in time will affect balance, the horses movement and willingness to work.

In this case, it meant the saddle needed a complete re-flock!
A full range of flocking is always carried in the van, to make sure this doesn’t happen.

We took Willa to Ely Eventing yesterday for the 2-phase training, and she was fab!

Flew the showjumping, pinged out onto XC, she's growing in confidence every time we run:)
…we had 2 small misunderstandings on the XC but we are so proud!

The 2-phase format is exactly what we needed. A real, on course training opportunity, feels like a competition environment without the pressure.
