Terms and Conditions for Dog Walking and Pet
Sitting Services From Pet Pals
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between the Client and the Dog Walker/Pet Sitter
(“the Service Provider”) for the provision of dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight house-sitting
services. By booking any service, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Services Provided

Dog walking on a one-off or regular basis.
Pet sitting, including feeding, playtime, and general care.
Overnight stays at the Client’s home for pet and property care.
Additional services such as administering medication, cleaning pet areas, or collecting mail
may be arranged by prior agreement.
3. Bookings and Payments

All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email, text, or booking form).
A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure bookings.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than the first day of service.
Payments can be made by bank transfer, cash, or other agreed methods.
Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.
4. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations made more than 7 days before the start date will not incur additional charges
(deposit remains non-refundable).
Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date will be charged 50% of the total fee.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the start date will be charged in full.
If the Service Provider cancels, a full refund will be issued.
5. Client Responsibilities

The Client must provide accurate information about their pets, including health, behaviour,
and special requirements.
The Client must ensure pets are up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worm treatments.
The Client must provide all necessary supplies (food, bedding, leads, cleaning materials, etc.).
The Client must ensure the home environment is safe and secure for both pets and the
Service Provider.
The Client must inform the Service Provider of any household security systems, emergency
contacts, and relevant instructions.
6. Service Provider Responsibilities

The Service Provider agrees to care for pets responsibly, ensuring their safety, comfort,

and wellbeing.
The Service Provider will follow all reasonable instructions provided by the Client.
The Service Provider will maintain confidentiality regarding the Client’s home and
personal information.
The Service Provider will notify the Client immediately of any emergencies, accidents,
or concerns.
7. Emergencies and Veterinary Care

In the event of illness or injury, the Service Provider will contact the Client immediately.
If the Client cannot be reached, the Service Provider is authorised to seek veterinary care at
the Client’s expense.
The Client agrees to reimburse any veterinary costs incurred during the service period.
8. Liability

The Service Provider will take all reasonable precautions to prevent accidents, loss, or injury.
The Service Provider is not liable for damage or injury caused by pets that are left in their
care, except in cases of proven negligence.
The Client remains responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pets to property, people,
or other animals.
The Service Provider is not liable for loss or damage to the Client’s property unless caused
by negligence.
9. Keys and Home Access

Keys or access codes provided by the Client will be kept securely and returned promptly after

The Service Provider will not duplicate or share keys without the Client’s consent.
The Client must ensure the Service Provider has safe and reliable access to the property.
10. Photos and Updates

The Service Provider may take photos of pets during care for updates to the Client.
Photos may be used for promotional purposes unless the Client requests otherwise in writing.
11. Insurance

The Service Provider holds appropriate public liability insurance for pet care services.
The Client is responsible for ensuring their home and pets are covered by their own
insurance policies.
12. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with reasonable notice.
The Service Provider reserves the right to terminate services immediately if a pet poses a
danger or if conditions are unsafe.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be
subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
By booking services, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these
Terms and Conditions.
