Lexi
Phenomenally well bred, approx 15.3hh, 6yo mare
In short
- Outstanding breeding
- Top level competition prospect
- Beautiful movement
- Previously started under saddle
- Bred a beautiful filly (my choice, not through injury - also available)
- Clean X-rays from Aug 2024 (just bred a foal since)
- Great for general yards – tie up, bath, loads like a dream etc
Sire: Catch a Dream Z - by Comme Il Faut (Cornet Obolensky x Ratina Z)
Dam: Concerto’s Girl – by Vittorio (Calippo x Ma Belle)
This girl’s breeding is absolutely outstanding - both dam and sire have exceptional, proven top-level international jumpers throughout their breeding – virtually every horse in this pedigree is either a top-level performer or a proven foundation mare and producer of Grand Prix horses. This includes 3 Olympic competitors, including Ratina Z, one of the most successful showjumping mares in history who took home three Olympic medals!
Lexi was professionally broken as a 4 year old before I purchased her and was ridden in walk, trot and canter. She has beautiful movement with a floating trot and balanced uphill canter – she has enough blood and length of stride to event, but obviously her breeding lends itself to top level show jumping. I have loose jumped her and she shows textbook technique – she absolutely does not want to touch a pole and with a capable and experienced rider she will be an absolute weapon in the ring. That said, she is bred hot and will not be suited to an inexperienced horse person.
After I purchased her, I put her in foal to Epic HS Z and she has produced a beautiful filly (who is also available below). She has been an exceptional mother and would be an asset to any stud or breeding programme if this was the desired direction. That said, she can absolutely be brought back into work – she was only put in foal as my other mare didn’t take (NOT through injury) and she has clean x-rays from Aug 2024. She would be open to any vetting/x-rays etc.
She is great for general yards; ties up, bath, flawless to load in a 3.5 tonne etc, is your best friend for a sweet. I’ve never clipped her and she doesn’t have shoes on. She’s also lived out 24/7 since I have had her. I really think a lot of this mare and finding her the best home is priority.

Roxi
Beautifully bred filly born in June. She is out of the above mare, and by Zangesheide approved / AES Graded Stallion Epic HS Z (by Escape Z - Emerald Van ‘T Ruytershof x Heartbreaker).
Epic HS Z is owned by Harrie Smolders, and has already shown success, recently jointly winning the Bolesworth International CSIYH1 5 year old Champs, and he has qualified for the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken.
Epic HS Z again has a pedigree filled with top level, international horses so Roxi is destined to succeed with the right upbringing. She is chipped, passported with the AES, lightly handled and turning into a beautiful, confident young horse.
