We’ve got some great news to share with you…🤗

The lovely Rupert will be going to his forever home on Tuesday!! He’s spent the last few weeks with Kathryn, one of our fosters 🥰🎉🥳

Rupert’s Story -
Sadly he got left behind by his previous owner 6 months ago, they didn’t bother to neuter him either so he terrorised the local cats and caused quite alot of issues and stress for the neighbourhood whilst he was out on the streets but Rupert wasn’t to blame, his Irresponsible owners massively let him down. The lovely people of Sabden looked out for him in the meantime and provided him with food/shelter until we had space to take him in, then they kindly brought Rupert over and also covered the cost for his neutering, super kind people ⭐🥰

😥 Whoever dumped a 4/5 month old black kitten and a tabby kitten (who got run over earlier this week and sadly didn’t make it 💔), next to a busy road on a layby in Burnley, I hope karma hits you right in the face! You sicko! 😡

4 hours I spent trying to gain the little black kittens trust last night. He’s on his own, freezing, scared to death, hiding and crying in the undergrowth (video in the comments will break your heart 😭). I’m back now, keep your fingers crossed I can get him today🤞🏻

There’s so much going on up here, it’s a popular area for walkers and any little noise he just shoots off but one thing we won’t do is give up! ❤️

Even with the trap set up he just wanted to be close, he sat outside the van staring at me for ages but everytime I moved he bolted. He really wants help but he has no trust in humans as you can imagine, so hopefully we can build that trust up and show him what it’s like to be loved and cared for 🥺

Special thanks to Andy and his family for alerting us and keeping an eye on him this week ⭐🥰

🐈 The home of Furreal Cat Rescue Burnley 🏡
Our awesome cat house (temporarily turned into a mother and kitten unit) has been full since the second it arrived and it remains full for the foreseeable with kitten season continuing 😬

‼️ Just a polite reminder that we are not a rehoming centre for unwanted cats/kittens and we still have a waiting list for local strays that need neutering 😞

Kitten season has been worse than ever this year. We’ve had 19 litters come in as emergency intakes which have been taken off the streets of Burnley/surrounding areas. The support we’ve had from you guys has been incredible. You’ve been brilliant and I really can’t thank you all enough ❤️‍🩹

It’s like having another full time job by the time I’ve dealt with problems/reports of cats and caring for our current intakes that need lots of time and patience so please bare with me when messaging the page. I will get back to you but sometimes I need to prioritise messages accordingly 🥰👍

Whether it’s helping out on the ground setting up traps & cameras, collecting donations, transporting/attending vet appointments, scanning lost and found cats for microchips, fostering which requires a quiet room away from other pets for emergency intakes/temporary foster room for cats that are waiting on forever homes 🏡 Get in touch for more details 🤗❤️
