NFBH Schooling Day and Hunter Trial - Ipley Manor, Nr Marchwood SO40 4UR

Our Ipley Schooling Day is back on Sunday 13th September followed by our Hunter Trial on Sunday 20th September.

Come and enjoy a schooling session around our fantastic hunter trial course at Ipley Manor. It's great for young horses and perfect for prepping for our Hunter Trial the following Sunday. You MUST book in prior to this event.

This course is not open to the public, so it's a great opportunity to school around this fabulous course. Our schooling session have been fully booked for the past few years, so please book in quickly.

Our Hunter Trial follows the following Sunday with classes from 50-60cm to 80cm including Pairs classes.

🌿 Hedge‑cutting and Bird Nesting Season – A Quick Reminder 🐦

As we head into the busy nesting season, please remember that many wild birds are now building nests and raising their young in our hedgerows.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, it’s an offence to disturb or destroy an active nest. For anyone managing hedges on agricultural land, there is also a strict no‑cutting period from 1 March to 31 August.

For all other hedges, trimming is allowed only if you’ve checked carefully and are certain no birds are nesting. If a nest is found, work must stop until the young have fledged.

Protecting our hedgerows helps protect the wildlife that makes our parish such a special place. Thank you for doing your bit.
