Memory Bears & More, Sewn by Nettie Bespoke, handmade bears & more made from your precious garments. I’ve always had a love of sewing and crafting. I absolutely love making these bears.

Hello, my name is Nettie, I’m a stay-at-home mum of two amazing girls and one cute doggo called Georgie. I have been creating and sewing various things for friends and family for many, many years. I started making memory bears over a year ago after the sudden loss of my father. I wanted to make something special for family to remember dad by. Each bear I have made has given us all some comfort, a

way to hug dad and remember him. I made various bears and soft teddies from my dad’s clothes. As I made that first cut in to dad’s scarf, I was terrified as it is over 50 years old, however as each bear was finished the fear had completely disappeared and a new passion was slowly being realised. I searched for a long time for a pattern or design for a Memory Bear that I felt would do justice to my dad’s memory. I came across an amazing design for a memory bear made by an incredibly talented lady called Lisa Pay and it is her designs I now use, with her permission, to create these loved classic bears. As more people have seen the memory bears, I have had more requests to make them for other people. Creating these wonderful keepsakes for others is such an honour. I give all the garments I receive the upmost respect during the process from start to finish. I know the importance of these precious items for people. Seeing and hearing the joy these bears can bring is amazing. As well as making memorial bears for people who have lost a loved one, I have made bears to celebrate other special moments in life, using baby’s clothes, school uniform, pet blankets, adults and children’s clothes etc to. Each bear is lovingly handmade and therefore each bear is unique. The possibilities are endless for what your bear can be made from. I do try to use all fabrics however some fabrics may not be suitable for the making a memory bears. This would be discussed with any order placed. SAFTEY INFORMATION
The bears cannot be safety tested due to the variety of garments/materials used. I use safety tested polyester stuffing and felt nose; however, the bears eyes are made with English Glass eyes to give a beautiful finish to their faces. These eyes are not safety eyes. THESE PRODUCTS ARE PURELY ORNAMENTAL AND NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED AS A TOY. SIZE

Additional embellishments or more detailed bears take longer to create. Prices can be discussed before placing any orders. Time to make bears
Bears can take between 2-3 weeks. timescales can be discussed before placing any orders.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the last few months.
The lead up to Christmas was extremely busy and didn’t leave me much time for posting updates.
In January this year I was waiting on some results regarding my health. I should have had these results last August but there was a little blip…
Thankfully we received the news in February that I was finally 5 years Cancer free and that I’ve been discharged with no further follow ups required.
This is just the best news to receive and a long time coming.
I can now fully focus on all the things that are important to me. 🥰😍🥰
