I’ve just been sent this picture by a client who has bought her own home (congratulations!) and one of the first things she put up was a portrait I did of her beautiful ‘Quacker’ the dog, a couple of years ago. Hearing things like this make my heart unbelievably full 🧡

I’m still available for commissions so please do get in touch if you would like to place an order or have any questions! 🌿🌼

Peel and reveal ✨

Got my gouache out again to finally paint this picture I’ve had in my reference photo folder for ages! Was a little experiment to see how wildflowers would look in this medium, but I really love it and can’t wait to make some more similar pieces! What do you think?

A full view of the met gala gown piece, really felt like I’ve got somewhere with digital painting with this piece! I’ve also been experimenting with paper textures so swipe to see a textured overlay and let me know which version you prefer 🧡

Thank you all so much for being here!

I realised it’s been a while since I introduced myself so I wanted to say hello and put a face to the page again. I’m Ellie and I’m an artist from the southwest of the UK.

When I’m not painting, you can catch me doing whatever hobby my brain has got me fixed onto at one time, at the moment I’m into this online version of a board game and honestly it is ruling my life,so fingers crossed for a new fixation soon! 😂 I did drama with psychology at uni, mainly because I couldn’t make up my mind, but I also play guitar (although admittedly, just enough so I can sing my heart out to music) so you could say I’m a big fan of the arts as a whole.

I set up during the pandemic as I started to have a lot of free time to paint pet portraits for friends and family. Although it was really tough not seeing my friends and loved ones for so long, the pandemic taught me so many things along the way that I am so grateful for. I started taking my art more seriously, and finding it to be one of the few hobbies in my life that I could really stick with and love with all my heart.

So I repeat, thank you for being here, whether you’ve just joined my little journey or you’ve been here from the start, whether you’ve bought a piece from me or you’ve liked, commented and shared with friends, I’m so grateful for everything I’ve been able to do so far and everything I’m going to do. You really are the bloody best!

Still a work in progress but I’m really enjoying experimenting with the background. I want to keep it really loose while I bring Cottagecore 🧚🏻‍♀️ Aesthetic 👒] to the focus in the front. I should hopefully have this one finished by the end of the week!
