This is my girl Chilli she will be going to Uk field trials 25/26 season for the first time, she is amazing, you know you have a steady dog, when on a shoot,
she was a bout 20 meters ahead of me doing her thing pointing and flashing birds and 2 roe deer came running towards her one actually jumped over her and one ran literally in front of her nose, there was no reaction from her, all she did was look at me, for direction, if I had said too her go find it, she would have gone and track the deer, but I said, get on that’s her
cue/command for find Birds,
She is trained on deer,
tracking blood, scent-work,
she dose do the same thing when she has flushed a rabbit/ hare, no reaction no chasing.
She is a good steady dog with real good impulse control, she knows when on shoot days, feathers not fur.
It’s all out the training, how much time and effort you put into doing the training with your dog and the relationship you have with your dog.
