A weekend of paws, peace, and play 🐾✨

This weekend was a reminder of why we love living with Dobermans so much. We spent warm, quiet days with our family, giving the dogs the freedom to be – no expectations, no demands, just presence and connection. 🧡

Some enjoyed lounging in the sun, some dipped paws in the whirlpool bath, and others chose gentle hill walks to sniff every scent along the way. In the evenings, we had relaxed training sessions, but only if we felt like it. 🌿

It wasn’t about ticking boxes or getting everything right. It was about noticing how our dogs settle, relax, and communicate when we slow down enough to watch.

And you know what? Slowing down with your dog is often the best training you can give them. 🤎

🐾 Roy – Cool as a pro today! 🖤

During our walk this morning, two young male dogs suddenly ran up to us off-lead… while their owner was too busy on her phone to notice. 📱🙄

Roy stayed calm and allowed me to take control – I called out to the woman, helped her catch the dogs and get them back on the lead so they could safely carry on with their walk.

And Roy? Not a single fuss. Just a cool-headed reaction and then a well-deserved rest in the shade afterwards 🌳😌

I’m so proud of how far he’s come. This kind of situation really shows how training, patience, and trust pay off.

We live with them, train them, travel with them, and learn from them every single day. And the truth is – no two Dobermans are the same. Each has their own unique energy and story.

😬 Teething Trouble: When Your Puppy Becomes a Tiny Land Shark! 🦈🐾

If you’ve ever lived with a teething puppy… You know the struggle is real.
Those cute little baby teeth? Not so cute when they’re sinking into your furniture, your fingers, or your favourite slippers. 🛋️👟💥

Teething can be incredibly painful for puppies — and unfortunately, they often show it through:
🔹 Nipping and biting everything in sight
🔹 Restlessness and frustration
🔹 Acting like a total gremlin 😈

And let’s be honest — the atmosphere at home?

🐾 Meet Bruno – The Over-Excited Labrador! 💥🐕

Bruno is a 1-year-old Labrador bursting with energy and enthusiasm… maybe a little too much of it! 😅
Whether it’s guests arriving at the door 🚪 or new smells on a walk 🌳, Bruno’s go-to response is:
“OMG I’M SO HAPPY!!!” – full body wiggles, jumping, pulling, barking – the whole package.

While his excitement might seem harmless, it’s becoming a real challenge for his owners:
➡️ He’s a big dog, and not everyone is comfortable being greeted by a bouncing lab.
➡️ Walks are stressful, not relaxing.
➡️ Guests can’t even step inside without a welcome party they didn’t ask for!

Over-excitement is NOT “just how dogs are.”
It’s a sign of emotional overload and lack of impulse control — but with proper training, structure, and calm guidance, dogs like Bruno can learn to relax and enjoy the world without losing their minds over every new thing. 🧠✨
