We said good night to our favourite cheeky cob on the yard last night at 6pm❤️‍🩹
William crossed the rainbow bridge and is now eating all the grass and treats in the sky 🌈
While his owner takes her time to grieve we wanted to share how loved he was at our yard and how grateful we are to have shared the last 6 months with him❤️‍🩹

COMPETITION LIVERY🏆

I’m now introducing competition livery! Are you needing your young one to get out a bit more? Or haven’t got time?

Over the winter I’ll be doing some more showjumping and dressage unaffiliated. I can take on a few competition liveries!
March 2026 I pick up eventing when the season starts so can take them out eventing.

If you prefer your horse do one discipline we accommodate your wishes!

I have been getting some messages recently regarding livery, I don’t often advertise spaces as i’m lucky enough that most of the time they fill themselves with no advertising! I thought it would be a good idea to list all my packages below so you can have a look before contacting me. I’m always happy to answer any questions or queries 😊

I am based at home on my lovely yard in Bolventor! We have a U shaped stables,individual or herd turnout , an outdoor arena on site with new jump4joy jumps , lovely hacking and a short drive to excellent facilities such as Bicton and other amazing xc places or arenas!

I weigh 7.5 stone so I am able to specialise in ponies or horses.

BREAKING LIVERY

I have now successfully backed many horses and ponies and i am able to provide excellent references regarding this. I normally have breakers for 4-6weeks depending on the level of previous education/preparation and the owners goals. I am happy to focus on your wishes for your horse/pony weather that be making a quiet happy hacker or competition horse or any level in-between.

I charge £160pw which is inclusive of everything. This includes 6 sessions a week (which can be anything from long reining to schooling and is always tailored to the horse as an individual, hay, bedding , all day to day care, be there for any appointments the horse may need (farrier, saddle fitting etc)and i always provide daily updates and videos/pictures.

SCHOOLING LIVERY

This is perfect if you have anything specific you need working on with your horse/pony. I’ve taken on several “problem horses” with issues like napping and have always worked through these issues with success. I always invite owners/riders to come and ride the horse or pony at the end of there stay to ensure the same training is applied when home and confidence is restored. I’m also happy taking them to competitions or arena hires.
I charge £140 which is again inclusive of everything above.

HOLIDAY LIVERY

This is the perfect solution if you are going away but need your horse/pony to stay in work or need them cared for with 24/7 onsite care.

I charge £140 for ridden horses or ponies which is again inclusive of everything above. I’m happy to discuss a discounted rate for horses/ponies that do not need ridden work.
If you’re in a 20-25 minute radius I can come to your yard if easier. Prices to be discussed.

SALES LIVERY

I have taken several sales liveries with excellent results for both the horse/pony and owner. I can provide excellent references. My aim is always to make the process stress free for the owner and find the horse/pony the best long term home at the right price.

I charge £140pw plus a 10% commission on the final sale price. This includes posting and filming a ridden sales video, including my own footage and your own if wanted. I make sure to get lots of photos of the horses/pony looking there best after bathing, grooming (and trimming if wanted!). I deal with all phone calls and messages after advertising so you don’t have too! I also am present for all viewings and vettings (you can be too if you like) and present the horse/pony at there best. Of course the horse/pony will remain in ridden work when with me and i’m always happy to take them out to clinics, arena hires and shows to add to there CV if required.

COMPETITION LIVERY
This is something I’m starting in the new year when the eventing season starts again! If you want it through the winter please get in touch! I mainly event but will do other disciplines if owner wanted! If you want your horse to go all the way up the levels Im more than happy!
I’m always on the look out for horses to compete and i’m happy to discuss with any owner with no commitment required if they have a horse or pony they would like regularly competed.
I have a great competition record in all disciplines and happy to provide evidence.

I don’t usually do posts like this but with it being summer holidays this is the worst.
When you are driving and you see a horse it is THE LAW to slow down to 10mph while you pass them safely
I’ve hacked two horses today and passed 20-30 cars. 2 of them slowed down!

Just because I’m going round a corner doesn’t mean you can go fast to quickly get by.
Just because my horse is okay with it doesn’t mean you can go fast.
Just because you know me doesn’t mean you can go fast.
To many people I know go past me without slowing down and think it’s okay because they know me.
Whether you know me or not or whether you’re just here on holiday SLOW DOWN.
I work with young horses everyday who sometimes don’t know about traffic and cars and if you don’t slow down your putting my safety at risk and my horses aswell as your own.
Please THINK about what you’re doing while driving past a horse. It takes 10-20 seconds out your day to slow down but could cost me mine or my horses life if you don’t. 🚘

My little yard was nominated for the equine business awards!
These were just some of the nominations I got! They are anonymous but thank you to each and everyone one of you who nominated us!

⭐️Most well kept yard always tidy and organised by the very hard workers Sophie and Jade who always think not just about the horses but you as well to make sure you are all happy and comfortable, Amazing facilities with beautiful hacking, xc and and tidy sand school. If you are ever in need for help Sophie is very well knowledged about horses and has alot of first hand experience with different horses and there needs
10/10 recommend
⭐️Lovely yard with great facilities, took great care of my two ponies and would 100% recommend. Caring and hard workers which would trust time and time again with my ponies. Overall excellent service and would definitely use again
⭐ Sophie and Jade looked after our two cobs for 2 1/2 weeks whilst we were on holiday. I am delighted with their care of the boys. We received regular updates on their welfare, putting them in the stables when it was too hot, rugging of required, applying sunscreen. The photos and videos were reassuring and showed they really were very content. The boys returned home in excellent condition. We will definitely be using this service next time we go away.
⭐ Apart from a fantastic location and a great set up, this yard is run to a very high standard with the care and happiness of the horses being at the forefront of everything. The horses literally want for nothing, the care and attention they receive is second to none and Sophie and Jade put their everything into this business, which is obvious to anyone who visits the yard. I would highly recommend Deephatches to anyone looking for a livery yard for their horse.

She will do a full day eventing and still come back and stay up until 9pm making sure every horse is happy, healthy and cared for. We absolutely love the hacking round here and amazing facilities the yard provides us.

The yard is incredible
⭐ cannot recommend this yard enough to anyone. The safety, the knowledge, the care and the kindness is something you wouldn’t get elsewhere. I’ve lived in Cornwall most of my life with horses and been to a lot of different yards and this is one of the best there is. With it only being built in 2021 and started in 2022. Sophie and her team have done incredible work. The care these horses get is amazing. Would recommend to anyone I know.. they truly deserve this.
⭐ This livery yard is like a 5 star hotel for horses! I kept my 16 hh thoroughbred there. The grass was kept so well and looked after!
⭐ The yard was always tidy and the horses always had whatever they needed. Sophie was very on it with keeping the arena tidy and harrowed making it safe. She always came down off her own back at 9 pm to check all the horses had water and hay and were skipped out even if we didn’t ask. She would always prioritise the horses needs and everything/everyone was always kept safe. The stables were big and mine slept like a baby on his massive bed. The horses want for nothing and it’s an incredible yard that deserves this as much as any other big yard.
