A little honest update 🤍

If I’ve been slower replying recently, I promise I’m not ignoring you! 🥹

I’ve recently started a new full-time job in a vets, working 40+ hours a week, alongside running Snout & About and being mam to two young boys… and honestly, I’m EXHAUSTED! 😂

I’m really struggling to fit everyone in for appointments at the moment, so I’m having to be realistic about what I can manage while I figure out the best balance.

I’m doing my absolute best to get back to everyone and keep appointments available where I can. 🐾

That’s a wrap! 🐾🩺

Tonight I hosted my first ever Pet First Aid & CPR evening — and what a way to finish the day!

After an 8–5 shift at the vets, it was straight into teaching, demonstrating CPR, practising bandaging and chatting all things pet first aid.

I’m absolutely knackered, but SO proud of how tonight went! 🥹

A massive thank you to my amazing parents who came along and assisted me tonight. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you both! ❤️

And of course, thank you to everyone who came along, got involved and trusted me to teach you these potentially lifesaving skills.

First one officially done… and I’m already thinking about the next one! 👀

Tomorrow’s the night! 🐾🩹

The prep is officially underway for our Pet First Aid Evening at The Comrades! ✨

Canine mannequins? Check.
Bandaging supplies? Check.
First aid goodies? Check.
Lots of practical learning? Absolutely! 👏

I can’t wait to welcome everyone tomorrow for an evening of practical skills, plenty of questions and hopefully a little fun along the way.

Yesterday I shared Archie’s Star Patient award after his first nail clip with us, and today I wanted to share the lovely words his owner left afterwards 🥹

It’s always such a privilege to be welcomed into your homes and trusted with your pets, but hearing that you and your pets have had such a positive experience makes it even more special.

Archie was an absolute superstar, especially with the help of plenty of Primula cheese, cuddles and reassurance! 🐾

🌟 STAR PATIENT AWARD — ARCHIE 🌟

Archie is our latest Star Patient after having his first nail clip with us — and honestly, he absolutely smashed it! 🐾⭐

He wasn’t fazed one bit! In fact, he happily enjoyed some Primula cheese, plenty of cuddles and all the attention while we got those nails looking tip-top. 🧀💚

I also got to meet Archie’s gorgeous brother, Alfie, who wasn’t booked in for anything this time… but that certainly didn’t stop him from joining in with the cheese and fuss! 😂

Two handsome boys, double the cuddles and absolutely no complaints from either of them. What more could I ask for? 🐾💚

Well… this is a rear occasion! 😂🍑

Domino has earned his Star Patient Award today after I visited him for an a**l gland expression — something that’s actually pretty un-cat-ommon! 🐱

Despite the rather undignified nature of the appointment, Domino was an absolute superstar. ⭐ No fuss, no drama… just quietly getting on with his behind-the-scenes business! 😂

Well done, Domino — you were absolutely purr-fect from front to rear! 💚

Expectation vs reality of being a mobile vet nurse 😂🐾

You might picture boring scrubs, quick appointments and simply ticking off the basics… but in reality, I’m turning up in leopard print, matching my scrunchie, having a good old natter, cup of coffee and handing out far too many treats. 🐆😂

I love that being mobile means I can take my time, build trust and get to know each patient (and their humans!) without everything feeling rushed. ❤️

Same job. Different vibe. And honestly… I wouldn’t have it any other way! 🐾

A little surprise arrived in the post today from 🥹🐾

All the way from Australia! 🇦🇺📦

I was SO excited to open it and find a brand new pair of their Balloon Dog scrub set! 🐶🩺

Honestly, they are absolutely gorgeous and so me — because who doesn’t need more dogs on their scrubs?! 😂

I’ll be wearing them for our next Pet First Aid evening, and no doubt you’ll be seeing plenty of them during our home visit appointments too! 🐾💚

I visited Charlie for his first nail clip with us, and he was absolutely good as gold from start to finish. He took it all in his stride, was such a pleasure to visit, and even showed me some of his clever tricks!
