Something a bit different for me! This is a pastel painting I was commissioned, completed quite a few weeks ago now. It was given to the recipient yesterday who was thoroughly pleased 🥰 It’s the first time I’ve worked on black paper. Pastels on velour paper.

On Sunday we went to cattistock show and did the fun gundog competiton 🥰 Paddy, who amazingly I’ve never actually competed with, won his section 🥰 at the age of 9 it was his first little test 😂 and wigeon came 3rd in the open. Both dogs definitely slowing down now but still try their heart out for me 😍 little loony did so well for her first time out and about with me but wasn’t placed. We had our own little prize giving at home seen as we missed the actual thing 🤣 Luna helped hold the winnings 😆 whilst wigeon glared at me thinking she should have the trophy not the yellow rosette..

The gorgeous Cosy today. We lightly backed him in 2021, it was clear he was too immature and just not ready. Now 2 years on he’s blossoming 🤩 a sensitive but very genuine pony who just wants to please. He’s been carefully, correctly and slowly produced to have a confident happy future infront of him ❤️

HORSE HOLIDAY LIVERY OFFERED OR COMPANION SOUGHT

Seeking a temporary companion for Twix!

Do you have a horse you want to turn away over the summer?
Looking for a horse to boss twix about and put him in his place -firm but fair horse.

Horse must be:
Good to deal with
Have no shoes on or be prepared to remove
Mature type
Respectful of fencing
Good with dogs

I’m happy to cover the horses care twice a day and whenever else needed, vet, farrier etc in return for your horses livery to be covered and just a companion for my youngun!

On the other hand - if I can’t find the above I will consider moving twix into a little heard locally so please do let me know if this might be a possibility!

This little man had his first canter in our session beginning of this week 😍 he’s such a sweet heart.

We backed him a couple years ago and he’s been turned away to mature (which was much needed!) and we’ve restarted him this year. He’s a sensitive boy but such a trier and will make a wonderful fun pony!

Latest commission of a lovely black lab called Jasmine. This one was requested for a birthday and I was delighted to hear they were very happy with it ☺️

I really enjoyed working on this one and it is surprising that so many different colours go into a black dog! Blues, browns, reds, yellows, greens and even purple, as well as black grey and white.
