And ā¦. FINALLY! these 2 beautiful Gulls were released over Fleetwood Marsh on Sunday. What a wonderful day for it! šļø
A usual thing for gulls to do which is ever so cute, is a thank you circle and scream above as they fly on to this new lives⦠this will NEVER get boring for us šā¦people do find it hard to understand how we can care for them so greatly then watch them fly off, but itās exactly why we do what we do⦠nothing prouder than the moment where you see all of your hard work pay off, and watch them fly away.
As 2 or 3 leave, new gulls take their spot in foster care thick and fast. During this stage of the season we are caring for a few more TLC birds with limps and the like, and of course the regular incomings, then those who just need some space for a few weeks⦠itās never ending. But we push on šŖš¼
We are currently caring for over 40 gulls between us, and we are self funded meaning that our Guardians pay for the food and care for the gulls while they are with us.
Your donations, whether it be a physical donation from our Amazon wishlist, a drop off at one of our locations, or a monetary donation to help us fund the care of our wonderful sea birds, make ALL the difference.
