So, more about pet names - we love hearing about yours!

Further to previous, back to my Father.

When visiting Grandma, spotted a photo of a beautiful brindle Staffy.

On asking was told it was Dad's dog, from years ago.

What was he called?

Rocker.

Surprised at this, Dad wasn't really into music, but thought to myself, yea, quite cool for Dad, that.

Illusion shattered within moments, when she went on to say " it was his favourite cherry brandy" 🍒

Which, to add insult to injury, should not even be pronounced " Rocker" 😩

Looking forward to more stories folks, don't let me down

OK, let's talk pet names...

I like 'em to have some meaning, or make you you laugh

Started with my father I suppose - the dog they brought to meet me, on my return from a school trip was a Westie, and although almost immediately shortened to "Duffy" he was christened Macduff.

Supposedly because it was a Scottish name for a Scottish dog, but later [ & older ] became aware of the [mis]quote from Macbeth, and of course its relevance to a dog...

"Lead on, Macduff"

More to follow, in the meantime,

Well, how my life has changed! After having to quit my job :( was at a bit of a loss. No more staring at computer screen...

Well, how my life has changed! After having to quit my job :( was at a bit of a loss.

No more staring at computer screens all day!

My day today as follows:

Visit, feed & walk 2 lovely pugs.

Then on to sit a VERY nervous, blind rescue from Bosnia.

Next feed & water chickens, give em some treats & collect eggs.

Does anyone want to guess how much better I feel ?

While I'd be happy to forego the health issues that have set me on this path, I'm definitely happy to be where I am today

Not to mention HUGE thanks to all the friends who've liked, shared, followed & recommended, means a lot xx
