Hi from Sarah Lily 🌺
a new business inspired by my love of flowers and the comfort they gave me at such a difficult time...
lots of handmade and specially sourced crafts and gifts for the home, for you, for someone in your life from you ❤️ thought I would write a little something so you know a bit about me, I'm Melanie and I live for all things handmade,
My sticking, cutting, crafty days started
when I was very young...I was always on the craft table at school so think it was inevitable I would end up where I am now....
But it all started when I was looking for handmade invitations for my wedding back in 2002 and when I received the samples back as lovely as they were I knew I could do the job better myself...which i did...then came a friend's wedding, and a 21st birthday, then some party favours and so it began...and before I knew it I was well away with my handmade wedding stationery business as well as working full time as a wedding co-ordinator....there were some long nights I can tell you...ha ha
Then it all had to stop....my hubby and me were off travelling for a year, a lifetime opportunity that could not be missed but sadly my craft world had to go on pause for a little while...but it took a different turn when we settled in Australia for a few years - yep we got to OZ 6 months in and loved it and stayed....and here is where I learnt how to make jewellery, soap and even chocolate truffles...
We decided to come back to little olde England in 2008 as wanted our 2 to become 3...but wanted the help and support of our family and friends (thank god we did...ha ha ) so our darling Daniel arrived in 2010 and I became a mummy.....and here lies the new handmade path I'm travelling on ....after a year of full time mummy I now have become part time mummy part time crafty girl...and its perfect...I can get back to being on the craft table and making my beautiful creations....
So now sharing them with the world....and here on facebook :-)
I still have a lot to put on here but bear with me...I'm getting there but as all you mummys know..sometimes things take a little longer then they used to...hee hee
