⭐️NEW HOME NEEDED⭐️
We took in an emergency surrender over the weekend and found ourselves as unexpected room mates with a bonded sibling pair of GINORMOUS rabbits.
Meet Wallace and Gromit
🐰❤️🐰
They’re around 2 years old and about 4kg each and let me tell you, when there is the rabbit equivalent of a carry-on suitcase bouncing around your bedroom at night, you know about it.
Once they’ve passed their MOT at the vets they’ll be looking for a home with lots of space for them to stretch their legs. Unfortunately, like so many rabbits, their accommodation was not at all suitable - preventing them from standing up, running or displaying natural behaviours.
Over the last few days they’ve been enjoying having a good stretch, practicing their balance and transitioning to a nutrient packed suitable diet. Were-Rabbits have won Academy awards for their dramatics, so we’re taking things nice and slowly and letting them lead the way.
So far, they’ve lived indoors and in a properly rabbit proofed property this would be possible if a room could be given over - they will need lots of space to run and play. However, our preference for rabbits is usually for a home where they can safely enjoy a more natural life outside with a suitably insulated shed or similar living accommodation with ample run attached. For national security purposes, they must not, at any time, be told the whereabouts of any prize winning vegetables.
