“We have just bought our first pony from Harriet at Cornerwood Stud. This was a huge deal (and dream come true) for us and, as relatively non-horsey (as in riding school level in childhood) adults with a horsey daughter we actually felt a little nervous as we embarked on this journey, especially with all the stories out there about how difficult it can be to get it right buying a horse.

Well, Harriet made us feel completely relaxed, we had total confidence in her and her advice was always right. She was so generous with her time, and no question was too small or silly for her to answer when we asked. Even several weeks later, she was still on hand for advice. This was utterly priceless. She clearly cares about her clients and her horses.

The beautiful confidence giving cob Casper who we sold back in March, filling his new owner with confidence.

Buying the right horse from reputable people is extremely important, but having the right support system around you is equally as important especially when you are quite novice to horse ownership or riding. A good livery yard with knowledgeable people, good facilities, and a supportive atmosphere can make such a huge difference to both horse and rider confidence.

We are incredibly lucky to regularly supply many fantastic livery yards with wonderful horses, facilities, and support networks, and seeing combinations like this thrive time and time again is exactly why we love what we do ❤️❤️

14.1hh approx. 10yo coloured mare. Has done a bit of everything with a young girl rider and has also been used in a trekking centre.

12hh approx. 6yo gelding, from the same home as above. Done a bit of everything, mainly hacking and trekking. Very sad sale due to the owners’ children outgrowing him.

14.2hh approx. 7yo Irish cob mare, direct from Ireland. Has been on a working livery yard and used in the riding school for novice riders. Brilliant cross country, hacks well and pops a small course.

16.1/16.2hh approx. 5yo Irish Draught x Cob mare, also from the same yard. A lovely solid mare who has done a bit of everything. Brave cross country, pops a small course of fences and rides nicely. A true allrounder type, very hard to find.

16.1hh approx. 6yo Irish Sport Horse gelding. Full green book with wonderful breeding. Has been to arena hires and cross country schooled up to a metre. A lovely, smart allrounder.

14hh approx. 17yo schoolmaster allrounder gelding. Has done everything with young riders. Sad sale due to riding school closing down

16hand 13yo Irish sport horse mare. Same home for the last 6 years where she's done everything with a young girl rider. A lovely genuine horse who is ideal for someone to learn to ropes and to take out and about. A very sad sale due to owners personal circumstances.

Stunning 13.3/14hand approx 2009 gelding.
Dinky has been with his same owners for 11 years. Very sad sale due to family run riding school closing down and change of paths. He has had several long term loan owners ranging from 12 years old + over this period. Dinky is a lovely pony who will be perfect for a child wanting to go out and learn the ropes. A very sound, quality pony who knows his job. Quality and competitive but also honest and sensible.
He has done lots of local shows, participating in working hunter pony, Riding club pony and jumping classes and qualifying and being placed at Hickstead show ground in the sunshine tour.
He has done beach rides, sponsored rides and cross country training days. Extremely brave and jumps all asked of him. A lovely pony who is ready for someone to go out and have fun on.
Always snaffle mouthed, has done plenty of woodland hacking. Hacks well alone or in company.
Can be slightly worried with heavy traffic, is ok with encouragement and reassurance.
Sound pony, easy to keep, on no supplements or medication. Barefoot very sure footed.

Full details to follow shortly. Idris is a 6yo 12hand cob gelding. Ideal lead rein and also ridden pony. Has been used in a trekking centre. Rides quietly. Genuine to do in all ways. Sad sale due to young rider outgrowing. The cutest little cob. Nicely marked with one white and one black ear 🥰

Absolutely stunning approx 16hand 13yo Irish Sport Horse mare. Imported from Ireland in 2020 where she has since had her loving long term owner. A very very heartbreaking sale on behalf of her owner so the very best of homes need only apply. Bella is coming from the most wonderful and genuine family. A genuine sad sale.
Bella is a much loved Irish mare with a brilliant all round attitude and a kind, genuine nature. Over the last six years she has done a bit of everything with a young petite amateur girl rider including showjumping up to 1m, Pony Club clinics and shows, cross-country schooling, fun rides and plenty of hacking both alone and in company. She has been produced slowly and sympathetically with a focus on keeping her happy, balanced and enjoying her work.

Bella hunted in Ireland before coming to England as a showjumping/all-round prospect and has since proven herself to be a fun, versatile horse who loves attention and enjoys her job. She is beautifully mannered on the ground and a pleasure to handle in every way. She is excellent to load, travel, clip, shoe, hack, for the vet and dentist.

She enjoys jumping, liberty work, groundwork and spending time with her field friends. A forward-thinking mare when out at busy shows, but always genuine and willing. A lovely true all rounder looking for a home where she can continue having fun and being loved. Bella rides nicely on the flat. Simple and genuine to a fence, gives you a lovely feeling. Bella always try her upmost to please. Full history known, the type very rarely on the market.

The wonderful Shadow looking absolutely amazing in her new home. We sold Shadow approx a year and a half ago to her wonderful young rider, and seeing the incredible bond she has built with her since then is such a rewarding feeling. Knowing she has truly changed her owner’s life, makes this all so special.

To top it off, Shadow recently came home with a 1st and 2nd place at her latest show at the weekend a huge achievement and so well deserved. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they have accomplished together and we love seeing the updates ❤️❤️
