Today was a good reminder that horses don’t always read the training plan… especially when they’ve had a few weeks off. 😅

This horse came back into work today after a little break and definitely had plenty to say about it. We started off a bit tense and full of energy, so instead of pushing on, we went back to basics and popped him on the lunge— which turned out to be the best decision.

After letting him get a few opinions out and find his balance again, he started to relax, switch his brain back on and actually listen. By the end of the session he was much calmer, softer, and working with me instead of against me.

Sometimes the best training sessions aren’t the ones that go exactly to plan — they’re the ones where you take a step back, listen to the horse, and give them what they need that day. 🐎

Today was a pretty special day. 🐴💛
After a full year of patience, trust-building, and slow, steady work, this handsome boy finally popped his first jump after being out of it for years. The jump wasn’t perfect — but honestly, that’s what made it even better. It was real, it was honest, and it was a start.

Proud of him, proud of us, and excited for what’s ahead. Here’s to small steps, big hearts, and celebrating every little victory. ✨💪🐎

Today’s ride was all about patience and confidence! 🐴✨
In this video, you’ll see me working with this lovely horse who had a habit of rushing to the jumps. Instead of holding him back, we focused on helping him relax, balance, and think his way to the fence. The difference already is so rewarding! 💛

If your horse tends to get quick or anxious on approach, you’re not alone — and it’s absolutely something that can be improved with the right exercises and guidance. I love helping horses learn to feel calm, confident, and rideable to their fences.

Just a quick update! Our horses have enjoyed a few well-deserved days off this week. Just like human athletes, they also need regular rest to stay healthy, happy, and performing at their best.

These breaks are an important part of their routine—they help prevent injuries, support their mental well-being, and keep them feeling fresh for future sessions.

🌟 First Hack Together! 🐴💨
Took this lovely horse out for our very first hack today, and I couldn’t be happier with how it went. A few curious “what’s that?!” moments, but she took everything in stride and was an absolute star. 🌿✨

There’s something so rewarding about helping a horse gain confidence outside the arena — ears forward, relaxing into the ride, and discovering the world together. 🤎🤠

✨ I’m also excited to share that I offer this service for clients!
If you’re local and have access to nearby bridle paths, I can take your horse out for confidence-building hacks, mileage, or just a positive change of scenery.
