🚀 Today this ball was super scary! 😱
Going through a fear period is very common for puppies. Space has passed this ball most days and it hasn’t been moved, but today he stopped and barked at it while backing off and looking at me for reassurance.
Staying relaxed and keeping the lead loose I spoke to him and used treats to direct him closer. He remained quiet and I gave him the confidence to look at the ball. I placed a few treats on the floor gradually getting the treats closer and eventually even on the ball.

❌ never drag your puppy to something they are scared of, always encouraging them to get closer to the object so you can show them it’s not scary.
If you can’t get close to it, that’s fine, as long as they stop barking or pulling away that’s progress, so reward that and try again another time!
If they don’t stop barking and pulling, go far enough away to find their critical distance of coping. Reward that and try again another time 🐾
