๐ถ๐ฉ Be a Responsible Dog Owner โ Letโs Keep Our Spaces Clean! ๐ฉ๐ถ
Imagine how much nicer our streets, parks and green spaces would be if everyone cleaned up after their dog. The good news? Most owners already do โ thank you! ๐๐ผ But sadly, a small minority still leave mess behind, spoiling things for the rest of us. ๐
To help tackle the issue, our Enforcement Officer Peter Buckley recently teamed up with Councillor Ben Shirley โ and Peterโs enthusiastic 11-month-old pup, Bruno ๐ โ for a patrol around Askam.
They met loads of responsible dog walkers (dogs on leads, waste bags in hand โญ), handed out reminders, and added stickers to bins and posts. Before the patrol, local councillors delivered over 1,000 leaflets to homes to help spread the word.
๐ข But this is just the beginning. Based on what they saw, Peter will be back in Askam for more enforcement patrols โ and wonโt hesitate to issue ยฃ100 fines to those who donโt clean up after their dogs.
Our officers are monitoring this issue across the whole district โ so please do your part. Letโs keep our spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. ๐งผ๐
