In case anyone might be interested, this is happening tomorrow and I will be there to answer any questions and meet the dogs and owners

We had this idea a while ago, spoke to our doggy customers and thought we would give it a whirl to see who is interested.
After noticing that some of our more elderly customers struggle to excercise their dogs as much as they would like - this could be the perfect solution!

We are working wih a professional dog walker to promote a new service from the cafe.
You can treat yourself to a hot coffee in the cafe while your dog enjoys a run on the beach with a fully insured, qualified local lady.

Bring your pooch along THIS FRIDAY 16th JANUARY 10am-11am for a meet and greet with Ryanne from ReRe's Doggy Dash dog walking services to discuss dog walking times, prices and for any questions you may have.

โš ๏ธWren needs your helpโš ๏ธ

Some of you will know Lydia, and her assistance dog Willow, one of our assistance dog partnerships. Last year they welcomed Wren into their home, with the hope that Wren would one day take over as Lydia's next assistance dog. They did everything right- good breeder, health tested parents, travelled literally hours across the country to come to us for training every week. But something wasn't right with Wren, and as a fabulous owner informed on the role of pain in behaviour, any thoughts of assistance dog training halted, and Lydia had medical cause thoroughly investigated. And the result a year later is more devastating than anyone could have imagined.

Wren now needs specialist surgery to save her life, surgery that needs to be paid out of pocket as the ยฃ12,000 she's insured for has already been used up. Without surgery, Wren will face being put to sleep.

We don't normally share go fund mes, but this one is close to us and neither Lydia or Wren deserve the plate they've been served.

If anyone has any spare change to donate, please donate at the link below. Or if you aren't in a position to donate, sharing the go fund me will help increase the chance people who can help will see Wren's story. ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’ฉ Be a Responsible Dog Owner โ€“ Letโ€™s Keep Our Spaces Clean! ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿถ

Imagine how much nicer our streets, parks and green spaces would be if everyone cleaned up after their dog. The good news? Most owners already do โ€“ thank you! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ But sadly, a small minority still leave mess behind, spoiling things for the rest of us. ๐Ÿ˜ž

To help tackle the issue, our Enforcement Officer Peter Buckley recently teamed up with Councillor Ben Shirley โ€” and Peterโ€™s enthusiastic 11-month-old pup, Bruno ๐Ÿ• โ€” for a patrol around Askam.

They met loads of responsible dog walkers (dogs on leads, waste bags in hand โญ), handed out reminders, and added stickers to bins and posts. Before the patrol, local councillors delivered over 1,000 leaflets to homes to help spread the word.

๐Ÿ“ข But this is just the beginning. Based on what they saw, Peter will be back in Askam for more enforcement patrols โ€” and wonโ€™t hesitate to issue ยฃ100 fines to those who donโ€™t clean up after their dogs.

Our officers are monitoring this issue across the whole district โ€” so please do your part. Letโ€™s keep our spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. ๐Ÿงผ๐Ÿ’š
