🐾 June Memorial Walk 🐾
Our walk for June will be on Sunday 28th June at 11am and taking a lovely stroll around Daviot Woods together. If there is enough interest we can pop into the cafe after for a coffee or a wee bite to eat after.
As before our memorial walks are open to absolutely everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are anticipating the loss of a pet, you have recently said goodbye to a beloved pet or your loss was a while ago. It also doesn’t matter if the goodbye was through my own services or your own vet. These walks are open to all families and your dogs can join us too.
It is a time to come together and remember our beloved pets in a supportive environment with others who understand exactly how you are feeling.

If you are struggling with pet loss we also have a private facebook support group called Tails of Love Angel Wings, where you can connect and chat to other families who are going through the same process. See the link to the group below.

🌈 World Pet Memorial Day 🌈

Today we remember those who have sadly left our side and crossed over the rainbow bridge. The ones who filled our homes with love, companionship and lots of joy. 🐾

Back in 2023 I said a very sad goodbye to Poppy, she was by my side through it all. In loosing her I was struggling with my own grief and started this journey which is now Tails of Love. 🩷

If you are struggling with grief or anticipating the loss of a pet soon you can find love and support through our private community, the Tails of Love Angel Wings

https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1bPJghRZnq/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I also run monthly Memorial walks where we can meet up with other families and take a lovely walk with others who understand. If you would like to join us on our next walk please follow this page as I will be announcing June’s walk soon.

Thinking of each and every one of you today. I am always here if you need to talk.

🌈 World Pet Memorial Day 🌈
Tomorrow Tuesday 9th June is World Pet Memorial Day. It was a a day where we remember all those beautiful souls who have sadly left our side and crossed the rainbow bridge. It’s a day to honour the unconditional love and companionship they shared with us.
With that in mind I will be lighting a candle to remember each and every pet and their loving families that I have had the honour to meet and help say a loving and peaceful goodbye.

What makes Tails of Love different?
I am a certified peaceful euthanasia veterinarian (CPEV). This certification keeps me up to date with all the latest practices meaning I can always ensure the most peaceful, compassionate and dignified passing to each and every pet.
I am also a proud member of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care. This is an incredible institution of leading veterinary experts in end of life care for animals. I am currently working towards my certification to become a certified hospice and palliative care veterinarian (CHPV) which will allow me to provide the very best in end of life care to your pets.

I’m very excited to announce I will have a stand at this years Moy Country Game Fair. 🐾🦌
Some of you may know I am a country girl at heart and have 3 springer spaniels who love the occasional day out on the hill. This is such an important event highlighting the amazing work our country folk do.
Come and spend a day out with the family. (Furry family welcome too!) You can meet with me, find out a bit more about hospice care and the process of euthanasia. Plenty of support materials will be on hand as well as few surprises 🥰
I would love to see you there!

🐾 walk in memory 🐾
We have completed our first ever memorial walk this morning. It was just a wee group so we changed plans slightly and had a walk along the beach as it was such a beautiful day. Elle and Hamish had a great time making friends and chasing each other along the beach too. 🥰
I will start making arrangements soon for our June walk. Would Saturday or Sunday work best for people and do you have any walk recommendations? It would be lovely to do some of your pets favourite walks and have another way to honour their memory. 🩷🐾

Just a wee reminder our first ever walk is tomorrow morning. I hope it will be a lovely walk and I look forward to seeing everyone there 🐾🌈

🐾Walk in Memory 🐾
Our very first walk in memory will take place at 10am on Sunday 24th May in Nairn. We will be meeting at the Harbour Car Park and walking the River Nairn Circuit. All family members including dogs are more than welcome to join. I have attached a link of the circuit for anyone who wishes to check it out beforehand.

I am hoping to make this a monthly meet up for families who are navigating pet loss grief so we can come together, share memories, chat to others about how we are feeling in a supportive environment, and also enjoy the company and fresh air.
If this proves to be popular I will create a separate and private Facebook group where we can discuss future walks and you can also use it to support each other in between our meets. So if this is something you would be interested in please let me know.

Please share this post with anyone you feel may benefit from our walks, their loss doesn't need to be recent and it doesn't matter whether this was through their own vet or by myself. Absolutely everyone is welcome. 🐾

Details of the walk can be found on this link:

I look forward to seeing some of you there, Laura x

I have had a busy afternoon making some bandanas for our memorial walk this Sunday. They may need some refinement before our next walk 😅 but I am happy with the first attempt. Elle is proudly modelling one for me. I will have some sharpies on hand to add in pet names too. 🥰
I’m looking forward to seeing all who can make it on Sunday.

I have now created a private Facebook group for people facing pet loss or for those who have lost a pet. This is a safe space where you can connect with other local people who understand how you are feeling. You can share thoughts, feelings, stories and pictures with people who understand and hopefully heal together.
This will also be a place to discuss and organise our future memorial walks too.
I have popped a link to the page in the comments.
