Upcoming closures 🐾
Unfortunately as I run Tails of Love alone I try my best to be as available as possible but some closures are unavoidable.
I will be closed for most of the week starting Saturday 19th to the following Saturday 26th.
I will only have full availability on WEDNESDAY 23rd.
From Saturday 19th to Tuesday 22nd I will be out of the country taking a few days away with my husband celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. This means I will have no access to emails or messages during this time but I will reply to all messages left when I return on Tuesday 22nd.
From Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th I will be attending the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) conference to keep up with all the latest practices on animal hospice care and to enable me to continue my care to the highest standards. As this is an American based institution it means the lectures will run late into the evenings and my appointments will be extremely limited so I can attend as much of the conference as possible. However I will be available on the phone and email for those who need me and will still do my best to come to you if needed.
While I am away you can of course arrange appointments through your own vet teams or there is also a fantastic vet Claire from Rover's Pet Euthanasia who may be able to help.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

“Walk of Love” 🐾🌈🩷
I just wanted to gauge interest in doing a memorial walk to celebrate this year’s National Pet Memorial Day which is on Sunday 13th September.
If there is enough interest then I will organise a walk (roughly 1 hour, easy terrain) where we can come together and celebrate all our beloved pets who have sadly left our side. All dogs are more than welcome to join in too.
If you would be interested in joining us for a walk then please leave a comment below.

I received a really lovely review from Princess’ family. Princess was such a sweet old lady and was very loved by all who had the privilege to meet this beautiful girl. Run free Princess 🐾🌈🩷
“We as a family had to say good bye to our cat Princess in June😪 Laura was very caring, compassionate. Princess passing was so peaceful at home. It made such a hard decision a little easier.we are so grateful for the dignity and comfort she gave to Princess and to us as a family.”

Prices and services update🤍
Most of you will be aware but these are a list of my prices as stated on the website. I have done my best to make them as affordable as I can while still covering the costs of running the business.
I appreciate how quickly things can change when it comes to end of life care and I promise these prices will stay the same no matter the day of the week or time of our appointment.
🤍I do now offer a slight discount to those within Aviemore due to the reduction in travel costs, which will be discussed at the time of booking.
🤍I also offer a range of memorial items such as paw prints, nose prints and hair clippings at no additional charge.
🤍If you are planning on home burial and are not sure what to place them in I can also provide you with a euthabag for no additional charge.
🤍As I have had a large number of people looking for communal cremation (no ashes returned) I am currently in talks with a crematorium to be able to offer you this service. Again if I can arrange this I will ensure it is as affordable an option as I can make it and I will keep you updated in due course.
🤍With individual cremation I would still recommend any of the fantastic crematoriums we have locally to us. This would continue to be arranged separately from our appointment as they have varying options available depending on your wishes and where you would like your pet to go.
🤍I will be adding some services onto my hospice care, starting with blood samples to monitor your pets hospice journey and allow for changes in medical management where needed. These will add a slight additional cost if chosen. This will be a case by case decision so will not be included in the initial consultation cost and will vary in cost depending on which blood test would be most beneficial to your pet and their hospice treatment. As always I strive to keep the cost as low as I can. I will do a separate post in time to discuss this in more detail but I just wanted to include it in this one for now. I am also looking into further pain management options which I hope to bring to you soon.

Thank you to everyone for your messages yesterday , I was overwhelmed by the love and support. I didn’t bring the trophy home but we all had such a fun night meeting and celebrating with some really incredible business women. Hearing their stories and what they have achieved made me even more proud to have been considered a finalist alongside them.

🐾🐶 National Dog Day 🐶🐾
To celebrate national dog day we went on a wee hike up Craigellachie nature reserve. The girls had a blast and we are all ready for an afternoon nap. I hope you are having a good day whatever you are up to 😊 🐶❤️

🐾 National Dog Day 🐾
Today 26th August is officially national dog day. (Although if you ask me I think every day should be National dog day! 😂)
It’s a day to give our furry companions some extra appreciation, whether that’s their favourite walk, a special treat, a new toy. I’m sure they will be delighted being in the spotlight.
If you would like to please feel free to share a picture of your beloved pooch below.
