Not all toys last forever - and that's okay! 🐕
Here are some signs it's time for some new ones:
👀 It’s looking more like “abstract art” than a toy.
If stuffing is coming out, seams are split, or there are chunks missing, it’s probably past retirement age. Especially with dogs who treat toys like a personal challenge.
🧸 The squeaker has entered the danger zone.
A squeaker that’s loose, exposed or mysteriously missing can become a choking risk. If your dog has already performed successful “squeakerectomy” surgery…time to bin it.
🤢 It smells…questionable.
Not just “dog toy smell,” but the kind that survives the washing machine and somehow gets worse when wet. Some toys eventually absorb too much slobber, mud and general dog chaos to save.
