Since early 2022, more than 49 million have died as a result of bird flu virus infection or have been culled due to exposure to infected birds. This number is nearing the 50.5 million birds ONLY IN THE USA ALONE!! In the UK another 3.2 million birds have been culled in 2022. This IS the next pandemic. 👉🏽

Greyhound racing is still legal in just a handful of countries - England, Wales, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, some states in the U.S., Vietnam, and Mexico. Time to put this freaky cruel tradition where it belongs - as another sad chapter in human history where people abuse animals for entertainment. A few weeks ago in September the RSPCA, Blue Cross and The Dogs Trust jointly called for greyhound racing in the UK should come to an end!
👉🏽

A senior councillor has called on the Welsh Government to consider banning greyhound racing in Wales. Cllr Philippa Leonard, Cabinet Member for Planning and Public Protection at Caerphilly County Borough Council – where the only greyhound racing track in Wales is sited – has asked Welsh Governme...

Lets open this for debate. Should our cats stay indoors to protect them from diseases and injuries and to prevent them from killing wildlife or should we let them roam freely outside and express their natural instincts and innate behaviours? Or should we only allow cats to be outside if they are leash trained? In Australia in some places cats are banned from being outside at night and completely banned in public areas at some states. Your thoughts?

Instead of banning the cruel leather and wool industries “environmental fashion campaigner” Livia Firth suggests we promote those farmers that “do it right” in other words those that still perform , but give the sheep a pain jab. Quote: “..it remains an ethical dilemma. It’s not a nice practice but **if it is done properly** it saves the sheep’s life and a death from hell.”
Vegan Vet Log unwraps this horrendous barbaric procedure called (prohibited in the UK by the way) and see if a one-off pain jab suffices . is a practice performed by sheep ranchers in the attempt to prevent ‘flystrike’ - a condition where flies lay their eggs on an animals’ coat/skin and the fly larvae which hatch feed on the animal’s flesh. Terrible and painful condition for the animal. Farmers perform mulesing not because they care for their livestocks, but to minimise their losses since the sheep fleece is damaged by flystrike or the sheep may die or require to be culled due to their poor health. Mulesing is performed by forcing the sheep consciously onto their backs, restraining their legs between metal bars and slicing huge chunks of skin away from their backsides or attach clamps to their flesh until it dies and sloughs off. Both procedures are terribly painful. Mulesing is a crude attempt to create smoother skin that won’t collect moisture, but the exposed, bloody wounds often become infected or attract even more flies to result in higher chances of the sheep attracting flies and getting flystrike. Many sheep who have undergone the mulesing mutilation still suffer slow, agonizing deaths from pain or from flystrike.

Many people still don’t know this. Lily flowers (all kinds!) are super toxic for cats. ALL the plant parts are toxic when ingested and even if cats sniffs the pollen for a glimpse of a second they can die a cruel death due to Acute Kidney Failure. Please this poster with your friends and family. People that have cats should avoid having lilies in their house and in their garden at all times and people who buy flowers to others who may have a cat - avoid buying lilies! Some flower companies recently have started to label their bouquets of lilies as toxic and that’s a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do!

Spring is upon us and it’s AMAZING of course, but spring is also the breeding season for most wildlife. We may come across what appears to be orphaned babies, for example young baby birds that have left the nest to fly. So what SHOULD we do and what SHOULDN’T we do if we find a baby bird? What is the difference between a NESTLING and a FLEDGLING?

👉🏽PLEASE WATCH THIS SHORT VIDEO and it with your family and friends so other people would learn too what to do next time when they find a baby bird.
