A message from the Organising Committee of The Cotswold Team Chase and they would like to thank you for all your messages of support.
"The weather was not on our side today. The course held up well but off the course after the last rain shower it became impossible for the ambulances to get around and we had no other choice but to cancel.
It is looking promising for the faller in the Intermediate Speed who was taken to hospital, and all being well she hopes to be home by tomorrow. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Sadly today in the first Intermediate Class we lost a horse to a heart attack. It is always so upsetting when this happens, especially for the riders and owners".
The Team chase is going ahead today please allow extra time for towing boxes on and off parking field
Following an inspection the Cotswold Team Chase will go ahead as it has stopped raining. Be prepared to be towed in/out of lorry park. Good luck everyone!
Both intermediate classes are now full.
Please note the Cotswold Novice class is Full.
Sadly the 2020 Cotswold Team Chase has been cancelled due to the difficulties with the Corona virus. We look forward to seeing you in 2021.

Looking forward to seeing all our competitors and spectators tomorrow at the Cotswold Team Chase at Foxcote Estate, Andoversford, near Cheltenham GL54 4LL. The course is in great order and fences are inviting and well made. Entry per car is £15 to include a programme. First team starts on the course at 9am with the Intermediate Fun Class.
Please note that there are roadworks with 4 way traffic lights on the cross roads at the A436/Withington Road so allow enough time if you are competing!
Spectators can walk the course - dogs welcome but must be on a lead - and there is great viewing from the tradestand area as well as CCTV in the bar area. There are plenty of attractions - a bungee trampoline, bucking bronco and children's rides plus a great variety of tradestands and food outlets to keep everyone entertained during the day! Sadly Jonty Evans and Cooley Rorkes Drift will be away competing in Pau so will not be parading as hoped but we wish them the best of luck!

There will be a variety of food & drink outlets & the bar in the competitors tent where you can watch the action out on the course & enjoy a drink & good company! Extra attractions include a bucking bronco, bungee trampoline & children's rides.
Its good to see that there are plenty of Team Chases scheduled over the next month starting this weekend with the Warwickshire - a chance to practice and get your eye in for our fantastic course at the Cotswold Team Chase on Sunday 29 October!
Get the date in your diaries and bring your friends and families along for a great day out - there are over 30 tradestands and food outlets, a bucking bronco and Jonty Evans will be parading his Olympic horse Cooley Rorkes Drift (Art) who he has secured through a very successful crowdfunding campaign.
