Went to Upton Country Park last weekend. Such a lovely place to walk your dog. There's loads of room and it's quite easy to get away from people and other dogs if you wanted too. They have a fenced field if your dog has a recall issue. There are areas where the dogs must be on lead and many areas where they can be off lead.
There are a few climbing frames for the kids and the park is wheelchair and buggy friendly.

I haven’t posted on this page in a long time. Well, this year has been a write off! I did however, visit a lovely cafe in Romsey yesterday called Cafe Fresh with Nellie and although they won’t be open as normal they are doing a take away service during lockdown www.Facebook.com/CafeFresh

Release the pigs! Monday is the official start of pannage season, though you may have already seen pigs out on the this year as the acorns have fallen early. Pannage sees commoners practise their right of mast by turning pigs out each autumn for six weeks. The pigs hoover up fallen acorns which are poisonous to ponies and cattle. This acorn diet gives pannage pork a rich, full flavour (more information at newforestmarque.co.uk). Please don't approach or touch the pigs!
