‘T O U C H’ ✅
Percy has been helping to teach Pepper the ‘touch’ recall command. It’s a great positive reinforcement command building on their usual recall.
Call ‘touch’ - dog comes and gives a nose bop on your fist or hand - treat given.
Recall is about having a dog that wants to be with you, it encourages your dog to check in with you, and reinforces those positive wanted behaviours. And it’s fun for your dog ☺️.
It also helps prevent any behaviours you may not want.

We think Pepper has totally perfected this now 🤗🤗.

A home visit to Max this week instead of a walk as it was way too hot during his time slot to go out. We had fun with some treats rolled up in one of my tea towels. Nice, calm, slow play to keep him cool. That tail didn’t stop wagging the whole time I was there 🥰😍

Earlier walks this week with Pepper to avoid the heat ☀️ and some house visits to break her day up.
Keeping dogs safe in this heat is priority so I will alway do what I can to switch things around. Pepper loved her dip with Percy then some calm on lead walking too to keep them cool 🥰🤗

On a dog walk on Tuesday …. I know I know, you’ll tell me “it’s only a grass snake” but to me a snake is a snake 😱😨!
My next footstep on the grass was going to be right on top of this snake !!! I nearly fainted 🤣 lucky I looked down stopped, and it slithered off across the path and into the bushes. I was so close I could hear its snakey hissy noise ! Terrified me 🙈😨🤣😭
