Lovely walks to end our week 🐾 We also celebrated a special first birthday! I have been seeing Charlie since he was just 14 weeks old and since then, he has had so many wonderful adventures. Happy first birthday Charlie - you give the best human like cuddles, make me laugh constantly, love your pup friends (plus he sits so nobly for his photos) 🥳🎈🐾

Summer is coming! Here’s how I am going to keep the pups safe and comfortable ☀️

With the warmer weather on the way, I wanted to share how I will be managing walks to keep everyone safe and comfortable 🐾

🚐 The Van: Equipped with Aircon, a Fletcher vent for airflow, and individual fans for every crate. I also have a digital monitor to track internal temperatures in real-time.

🌳 Shady Areas: We’ll be sticking to the shade! I’m prioritising grassy spots, woodland trails and routes with water access. I will also park the van in the shade where possible.

💧Hydration Stations: I carry 12L of fresh water daily. Dogs are offered water during walks and every crate is fitted with its own anti-spill bowl for the journey there and home.

🕥 Flexible Timings: On toastier days, I may adjust walks to earlier or later to avoid the peak sun. If it becomes too hot to walk safely, I will switch to home comfort breaks.

📝 A personal note: As the owner of a double-coated Japanese Spitz, I know firsthand how quickly the heat can become a struggle. Whether you have a puppy, a senior, or a "fluffball" like my Charlie, I’m always happy to chat about your dog’s individual needs.
