Pihalla nähtiin tänään varsin kunnianhimoinen suunnitelma: mäyräkoirapentujen ja bokseriuroksen yhteinen tutkimusretki. 😄

Pennut ihastuivat isoon uuteen kaveriinsa välittömästi, ja tunne oli täysin molemminpuolinen. Rohkeat pikkuiset eivät arastelleet yhtään, vaan olisivat olleet valmiita lähtemään koko porukalla vauhdikkaalle pihaseikkailulle.

Aikuiset joutuivat kuitenkin toteamaan, että kokoluokkaero oli hieman liian vaikuttava yhteisiin rallikisoihin. 😅

M***a ystävyys ei katso kokoa – eikä ikää. ❤️

The Dachshund puppies found a new best friend today – a wonderful Boxer boy. ❤️

The puppies were fearless and curious, while the Boxer was completely charmed by his tiny admirers. If they had been allowed to decide, they would all have gone racing around the yard together.

The humans, however, felt the size difference was a tiny detail worth considering. 😂

Friendship comes in all sizes.

World Dog Show 2026, Bologna 🇮🇹

Another unforgettable World Dog Show journey is behind us. Over the decades, I have had the privilege of attending many major international dog shows around the world, which has given me plenty of opportunities for comparison.

The organization of the event was truly outstanding. Everything ran smoothly, schedules were respected, and the entire show was executed with great attention to detail. I have often said that one of the best World Dog Shows I have ever attended was held in Finland. However, this time I must give credit where credit is due. Italy succeeded in taking the event to a level I have never before experienced at a World Dog Show. Congratulations and sincere thanks to the Italian Kennel Club for an exceptional achievement.

There was also reason to celebrate in our own camp, as CurlyCo Sharp Dressed earned a new title during the trip and is now an Italian Champion. 🇮🇹🏆

The breed judging was interesting and brought its share of surprises. That is one of the things that makes our sport so fascinating—every show tells its own story, and no result should ever be taken for granted.

One of the greatest highlights of the trip was the opportunity to meet so many friends and familiar faces from around the world. Sharing ideas, exchanging experiences, learning about different breeds, and gaining new perspectives are among the reasons why these journeys remain so rewarding year after year.

And above all, a heartfelt thank you to my wonderful friends. Your support, companionship, and help both in and out of the ring made this trip possible. In the end, friendship is often the most valuable victory of all. ❤️

Bodenin reissulta ei kotiuduttu pelkillä tuliaisilla – kotiin tuotiin myös uusi titteli! 🎉

Papu - CURLYCO FIRE WHIT FIRE ( Zappa-Desy) kävi näyttämässä Ruotsissa, miten irlanninvesispanieli matkustaa tyylillä ja palasi kotiin tuloksella:

Ja koska Papu kruunattiin edellisessä näyttelyssään Suomen muotovalioksi, tarkoittaa tämä sitä, että valioita on nyt kertynyt kahdesta maasta kahdessa näyttelyssä. Tilanne vaatii luonnollisesti vähintään tuplamäärän valion kakkua! 🎂🎂

Suuret kiitokset tuomari Johan Juslinille hienosta arvostelusta.

Seuraavan kerran tavatessamme voimmekin keskittyä näyttelyiden sijaan valion kakkujen syömiseen kuplajuoman kera – niitä on nyt ansaittu kahden maan edestä! 🥂

The trip to Boden didn’t bring home just souvenirs – it also brought home a brand new title! 🎉

Papu - CURLYCO FIRE WHIT FIRE travelled to Sweden to show how an Irish Water Spaniel does it in style and returned with the following results:

🏆 CACIB
🏆 BOS (Best of Opposite S*x)
🏆 NEW SWEDISH CHAMPION

And since Papu became a Finnish Champion at his previous show, this means he has earned champion titles in two countries in two consecutive shows. Naturally, this calls for at least double the amount of Champion Cake! 🎂🎂

The next time we meet, we can focus less on showing and more on enjoying Champion Cake and a glass of bubbly – after all, we’ve earned enough for two countries now! 🥂

Nuori juniori-ikäinen Hulda – CurlyCo Super Saturnus ( CurlyCo Mocha Master - CurlyCo Gelinotte)on aloittanut pohjoisen turneensa upeasti!
🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌
Matka käynnistyi Ruotsin Överkalixissa jälkikokeissa, joissa Hulda työskenteli hienosti saavuttaen ensimmäisen luokan hyväksytyn tuloksen. Erinomaista työtä koko pitkän koepäivän ajan!

Seuraavana päivänä avoimessa luokassa tuloksena oli 2. palkinto. Metsässä riitti haastetta runsaan riistaliikkeen vuoksi, m***a nuori koira selviytyi tehtävästään hienosti ja tulos oli erittäin arvokas.

Tänään Hulda jatkoi onnistumisten sarjaa Luleåssa Spaniel & Retriever Special -näyttelyssä:

Young junior Irish Water Spaniel Hulda – CurlyCo Super Saturnus has started her northern tour in the best possible way!

The journey began in Överkalix, Sweden, where Hulda competed in a tracking trial and earned a 1st Prize, working beautifully throughout the entire day.

The following day, she continued in the Open Class and was awarded a 2nd Prize. With plenty of game moving in the area, it was a challenging day in the field, making this an excellent result for such a young dog.

Today, Hulda continued her successful weekend at the Spaniel & Retriever Special Show in Luleå, where she achieved:

🏆 Best in Show 4

What an amazing weekend for this young and versatile dog, succeeding both in the field and in the show ring!

Saida ja Katja jatkoivat vesipelastusharjoituksia, ja tällä kertaa tehtävänä oli toimittaa pelastusrengas veneelle.

Täytyy kyllä sanoa, että irlanninvesispanielissa yhdistyy aika täydellisesti työkoira, uimamaisteri ja vesipeto

Saida and Katja continued their water rescue training, and this time the mission was to deliver a life ring to the boat.

It really has to be said — the Irish Water Spaniel is the perfect mix of working dog, swimming champion, and little sea monster
